A more cultivated person would probably go for the great white shark from Jaws or the birds from The Birds. But all I could think about was the rat monkey from Brain Dead. That thing is fucking hilarious.
I still haven't forgiven my friends for dragging me into this watered down PG-13 JJ Abrams piece of garbage. It pains me to even call this crapfest a "horror movie".
A wonderful modernized and intentionally cheesy homage to the classic 1980's horror comedies. Great practical gore effects, hilariously over the top dialogue and a main character called Grant Grant. What's not to love?
Since I'm Finnish pretty much every horror film out there is "foreign" to me. But if we're talking about non English speaking movies Eyes Without A Face is probably my favorite.
Xtro is a dirty, cheesy, obscure horror exploitation film. But it's all kinds of awesome at that. It's a shame I seem to be the only person on this planet who thinks so.
Day 27: Favorite OR least favorite Stephen King movie
An ironing machine with a TASTE FOR BLOOD. And no, it can't move by it's own. About as horrifying as the satanic floor lamp in Amityville 4.
Why Tobe Hooper, why?
The first one was okay, the second one was kind of bad and after the terrible third installment I totally gave up. It was like watching The Bold and The Beautiful with random torture scenes. I think I'd rather hang around in one of Jigsaw's elaborate traps than sit through the rest of these movies.
I know everyone keeps bashing this, but I really enjoyed Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury's previous film Inside. And at least it seems to be visually very beautiful.
Your taste in horror is impeccable!! I agree with lots of these- especially the two twist-ending categories. Can't wait for Livid either. I'll probably take a crack at doing one of these lists, but might be tough not to included some of the same answers as you. Great job!
