Another great Orson Scott Card series. This one is generally about a lot of philosophical and religious issues. What would you do if your god started "breaking down" and needed your help, those kinds of things. I really enjoy Orson Scott Card for the fact that apparently he is a fairly hardcore Mormon, but does not really push it on you. A lot of his series are based around religion and religious ideas, but I never got the feeling of trying to be converted. Maybe I just did not notice, but despite the point of view they come from, these are some interesting ideas.
