Gay authors I haven't read yet

Bret Easton Ellis (Less than Zero, American Psycho)
If they knew I was gay, 'Psycho' would be read as a different book. - Bret Easton Ellis

Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Choke)

Unmentioned Authors

Walt Whitman's sexuality is debated.

Unmentioned books

The Song of Ice and Fire books have a few queer characters (Renly, his page and lover (the book's aren't as explicit about this as the HBO series), and a character named The Red Viper who appears in the third book. Those characters aren't the 'main' characters.

I think that Anais Nin's "Ladders to Fire" and "Henry and June" could fit the list,as they refer to woman on woman action, among others.
