Introduction by Hamza Ansari
I was 11. I remember listening to In the End on my sister's walkman through those uncomfortable earphones and thinking, "man, this music is ugly, the vocals are loud but I like it". Either I or the singer was crazy. I think both. I learned the song by heart as it had become one of my favourite. I remember going to a music shop in Lahore, Pakistan and asking my sister to buy me Hybrid Theory. She bought me, although very reluctantly, as she didn't want me to listen to those types of songs. If I had rocked out to the above mentioned song then you have no idea what I did with Crawling, probably the best track from the album. I tore the roof apart. The video was awesome, Chester Bennington's vocals were at his peak and the whole song was f**** insane. That's when, it was official, Linkin Park became my first true rock heroes.
As of today, I've heard all of their albums, songs, covers and whatnot and I decided to make this list after viewing Rolling Stone's list on 100 Greatest Beatles Songs and the reason why I picked LP is because, like I said, I've heard 100% (or at least near to)...
