Two of Us is a 1987 gay-themed BBC television film written by Leslie Stewart and directed by Roger Tonge. It was produced as part of the BBC Schools SCENE series, and intended for young adults. It confronted the Thatcherite government's attempt to ban gay sex education in schools via the controversial (and since repealed) section 28 legislation.[1]. Given this backdrop, the BBC opted not to show it during the day and it was screened at night, even though it was originally created for a school audience.

Beautiful story, friendship and love.
There are more than 10 short movies that I want to add to my list ,but I can not find them in Imdb. (T^T)
Ah, and THANK YOU for putting "Billy Elliot" under "Mistaken as gay themed movies". Having one gay friend doesn't make a gay themed film :P
LOL, obviously a personal pet peeve regarding theme classifications ;)
