10. Gamera 2: Attack of the Legion (1996)
Gamera (Heisei)

Legion Mother
Height: 140 meters
Length: 160 meters
Weight: 600 tons
Flight Speed: Mach 1
Burrowing Speed: 50km/h
Origin: Unknown, but it is known that the Legion species traveled to Earth on what appeared to be a comet which crash-landed near Sapporo. It is speculated that the Legion species utilizes three separate entities to thrive and inhabit other worlds: the Mother/Queen Legion (shown here), the Soldier Legion and the Flower (see below) which is essentially used as a launch system to carry the next generation to another planet.

Legion Soldier
Height: 3 meters
Weight: 300 kilgorams
Origin: As with the Mother Legion, the true origin of the species is unknown.
Eye/Vision: As with the mother, soldiers can also sense electro-magnetic activity. As a soldier, it seems to be their duty to either feed on or destroy electro-magnetic acitivity - it was never fully discovered what connection the Legion species and electro-magnetism shared.
Vocalizations: Soldiers respond to the mother's calls & commands - and in return act as a collective. They are able to call other soldiers to their assistance.
Appendages: Legion Soldiers' appendages can be used as weapons, but in all likelihood, they are simply tools of movement. It should be noted that the appendages can aid the soldiers climb ..
Exoskeleton: Made of a hard siliconelike resin (but less durable than the mother's), Legion exo-skeletons work as an insulator.
Unknown: Although it was never fully determined what these soldiers are capable of, it was quite obvious the damage that they infliceted. Humans with glasses, cel phone and radio systems were killed or stripped of the offensive matrerial. The soldiers also attacked Gamera, swarming him. It appeared that they were causing some damage; there is no real evidence gathered.

11. Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris (1999)
Gamera (Heisei)

Hyper Gyaos
Height: 88 meters
Wingspan: 190 meters
Weight: 78 tons

Iris
Height: 99 meters
Wingspan: 199.9 meters
Tentacle Length: 1,999 meters
Weight: 199 tons
Top Speed (flight): Mach 9
Origin: Unknown, but Irys was discovered by Ayana in a cave to which Moribe's family is sworn to guard. Through information obtained from Ayana's cousin, she draws a conclusion that the creature might be a the legendary guardian of the South, Suzaku or Ryu-sei-cho. Enemy of the North, a turtle-like Guardian named Genbu, who she associates with Gamera.
Other: Found in the ancient cave of Nara's old family, Yamanaka, Iris was hatched from an egg-like object and cared for by Ayana. Although it is theorized that Iris is a subspecies of Gyaos, this self-evolution theory was never proven. Iris attempted to merge with Ayana twice, possibly to continue its own evolution.
