1. Closer (2004)
What flaw(s)?
1. The characters perhaps aren't developed well enough. We don't really learn about why some of them act like they do (especially Alice and Anna).
2. The plot did perhaps become quite chaotic at times so there were one or two plot holes but I did understand it and like it the way it was.

Why still 5-stars?
Well, because of the solid performances from Julia, Jude, Clive and Natalie and I really liked how they added the drama and it shows how complicated relationships really can be. Also, Natalie Portman in a THONG!

2. Pinocchio (1940)
What flaw(s)?
1. When the Blue Fairy said "Prove yourself brave, truthful and unselfish and someday you'll become a real boy", Pinocchio did 2 of those things but he didn't prove his honesty.
2. When we find out that Geppetto had been swallowed by a whale with his cat Figaro and fish Cleo, we never really find out why Geppetto was out at sea and how the cat and fish ended up with him seeing as the cat and fish were still in the house when Geppetto left to look for Pinocchio.

Why still 5-stars?
Pinocchio kept hold of me in an emotional, funny and intense ride. It's almost like a lesson for children to learn and it shows how much family really does mean to you. Brilliantly created and beautiful songs. Very personal favourite of mine.

3. Ratatouille (2007)
What flaw(s)?
1. Lacked humour. Every other Pixar was funny but this one wasn't.

Why still 5-stars?
Because I knew that it is perhaps more of an adult friendly film from Pixar more than for kids and I still absolutely loved it and still remains one of their best works. Has a great message and has and will continue to do for generations to come.

People who added this item 4679  Average listal rating (3123 ratings) 6.8  IMDB Rating 7.7
4. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
What flaw(s)?
1. Well, the most obvious one: Hayden Christensen wasn't brilliant as Anakin and I wouldn't say that he completely felt like Darth Vader after he betrayed the Jedi.
2. Over-loaded CGI effects! I don't think there was one single shot where there wasn't at least a bit of CGI added.

Why still 5-stars?
Because it truly is an epic conclusion to the series and the ending of this film truly did lead up to the greatness of the original trilogy. I loved the lightsaber duels and the other action scenes in it too and it was really sad as well despite Hayden wasn't great (James Franco was always my pick for Anakin). Obviously the strongest of the prequels and in my mind, is as awesome as the original trilogy.

5. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Stre... (2007)
What flaw(s)?
1. Two very crucial and important characters: Johanna and Anthony unfortunately lose their reputation because of the really bad performances from Jamie Campbell Bower and Jayne Wisener. I mean, yeah they can sing but they can't act!
2. How can Sweeney and Lovett get away with murder, disembowelment and tricking the public into cannibalism that easily? How can anybody not notice them missing or at least suspect something?

Why still 5-stars?
Because it changed my liking for cinema completely! It got me more into horrors and thrillers and I became an avid Tim Burton fan from then on. Great performances from Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall and Sacha Baron Cohen! It features amazing songs too!

People who added this item 4078  Average listal rating (2579 ratings) 7.4  IMDB Rating 7.8
6. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
What flaw(s)?
1. There wasn't a specific reason why Benjamin was the way he was; like whether there was a family history or went into more detail of this 'disease' that Benjamin was born with.

Why still 5-stars?
Because it was one of the rare films that made me cry and I loved every single second of it. Bought back memories of Robert Zemeckis's Forrest Gump and Tim Burton's Big Fish and I love both of those films. This flaw didn't effect my liking for the film but still noticed them.

7. The Dark Knight (2008)
What flaw(s)?
1. Christian Bale's Batman voice drove me mad!
2. Was more about the Joker and Harvey Dent than Batman.

Why still 5-stars?
Heath Ledger has brought out my favourite film character of all time as well as one of my favourite male performances ever. The scariest one since Anthony Hopkins in The Silence Of The Lambs. Brilliantly filmed by Nolan and really clever script. Nolan manages to make this both a gangster crime-drama as well as a comic book adaptation.

8. The Shining (1980)
What flaw(s)?
1. Shelley Duvall's performance as Wendy Torrance was just laughably awful! I've seen the film many times and I laugh almost every time but I still really love the film!

Why still 5-stars?
Well, it does star the great Jack Nicholson and made by the late legendary Stanley Kubrick so it's going to be 5-stars! Great tension and brilliantly filmed with some unique angles. God knows why Kubrick was nominated for the Worst Director Razzie (probably for leading Shelley Duvall in wrong direction).

9. Titanic (1997)
What flaw(s)?
1. Jack and Rose are very overhyped by the public (even now after 14 years) and I'm afraid to say that the fictional story with Jack, Rose, Cal etc took over the sinking disaster itself and the real life characters within and how they survived and perished.
2. There are some cheesy moments in the script such as swearing and I don't know whether you'd normally write 'Oh shit' or 'you bastard' in a script set in the early 1900s when people in those days probably hadn't even heard anything like that back then.

Why still 5-stars?
James Cameron directed this film so perfectly and, to be honest, he couldn't have thought of a better story seeing as the chemistry between the characters is very strong, it's very intense to watch and has a very tragic conclusion. Also, the fact it involved footage of the Titanic itself at the bottom of the Atlantic, and the storyline involving that saved it too and added more reality to the fictional story of Jack and Rose. Fantastic acting also from Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Billy Zane, Gloria Stuart, Kathy Bates etc.

10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)
What flaws(s)?
1. Harry rips the Elder Wand in half and throws it away? What happened to "most powerful wand ever made" and "invincibility"? Should've just put it back in Dumbledore's tomb, like in the book.
2. Really lacked detail of the Deathly Hallows. None of the three were involved in it that much, really.
3. Make-up on Harry in epilogue was disappointing.
4. Goodbye, Dumbledore's background story of childhood and young adult life.

Why still 5-stars?
Because despite these few weaknesses, this gigantic franchise couldn't have ended any better than it did! It was epic from the first shot till the last. It brought a few tears to my eyes and I can't believe there will be no more Harry Potter films.
SJMJ91's rating:

List of the films that I think does have a flaw or two but in the end has a powerful reason why I still have it 5-stars and is still on my favourites list.
