KATHLEEN FREEMAN was a wonderful character actress and she told me that she had worked at every major studio in Hollywood. I first met Kathleen at Universal Film Studios where she was the guest star in a Martin Lawrence TV show we had been invited to. I told her that I was a Tour Operator from England and that I brought groups of "movie buffs" out to Hollywood. I asked her if she could perhaps come to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel sometime to meet my groups and she said that she would be pleased to do so. She came along and was charming - she answered questions about the many movies she had been in and the major stars she had worked with over the years. She was in so many films with Jerry Lewis and spoke about him with affection. She also mentioned Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. (She was with them both in "Marriage on the Rocks"). She also mentioned how pleased she was to have been featured in that classic musical "Singing in the Rain".
