Mrnty's Favorite Movie Scenes (**Spoiler**)
The "Flours" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a warm and lovely scene. It's really nice to see Will Ferrel pulling off something like this. The whole scene is perfection, it's my favorite scene in the movie and it stuck with me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Cursing" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And... tits. Lololol. Gotta love Bertie. It's hard to pick just one scene from this movie because there's so many good scenes, like the conversation scene at the park, and the cute scene where Lionel is hiding from her wife because he hadn't tell her about Bertie, and the epic speech scene at the end, of course. But this one is one of my favorite and it also never fail to make me burst out laughing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Rainy Window" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh this scene... makes me warm inside and broke my heart at the same time. That's what Wong Kar Wai's films is doing to you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Phone Call" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My favorite scene was the whole movie. I can't get over how PSH screen time on this movie is probably less than 5 minutes, but they were glorious. Admit it, you're watch this clip with your "oh-no-you-didn't" face on. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Eucharist" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love the chemistry and interactions between these two, I can't decide who's being more adorable, Catinca or Lee. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Tyrone Street" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two minute walk for a lifetime. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Pale Man" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things nightmares are made of. I was holding my breath and bladder for as long as I could when watching this scene. You pale creepy bastard! Definitely one of the scariest creature ever created (alongside with the Pyramid Head from Silent Hill.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Donut Shop" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep, no caption needed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Smiley Face" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Stoned/House Cleaning" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The original score by Hua-Lampong Riddim/Small Room was ingenious, everytime I hear that song, it sucked me into this downward spiral of depression. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Laundry" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I watch this movie several times just to watch this scene. It's funny and warm, a real turning point in the movie. And what is up with Ed Norton's sexy squinty look? I want to melt with it... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "House Cleaning" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well to be fair my favorite scene from Chungking Express is the whole damn movie. But I'm a sucker for montages like this... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Family Dance" Scene.
![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't even bother finding the movie clip because y'all know what I mean. Dwayne's dance move is what makes me fall in love with this scene. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "10 Year Reunion" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Sophie was back in the game! Pure, raw, explosive pleasure! Better than drugs, better than smack! Better than a dope-coke-crack-fix-shit-shoot-sniff-ganja-marijuana-blotter-acid-ecstasy! Better than sex, head, 69, orgies, masturbation, tantrism, Kama Sutra or Thai doggy-style! Better than banana milkshakes! Better than George Lucas's trilogy, the muppets and 2001! Better than Emma Peel, Marilyn, Lara Croft and Cindy Crawford's beauty mark! Better than the B-side to Abbey Road, Jimmy Hendrix and the first man on the moon! Space Mountain, Santa Claus, Bill Gates' fortune, the Dalai Lama, Lazarus raised from the dead! Schwarzenegger's testosterone shots, Pam Anderson's lips! Woodstock, raves... Better than Sade, Rimbaud, Morrison and Castaneda! Better than freedom, better than life! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Poor Rabbit" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ... W... what just happened there? If I were John C. Riley's character I would most definitely piss in my pants. I love the "almost" facepalm thing Ddl's doing. According to what I've read on the youtube comments, the crying wasn't even in the script, Ddl told Scorsese he had an idea for the scene that "might be a little crazy" and Scorsese said "don't tell me just do it". And he did. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Phone Call Home" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In space, no one can hear your heart breaking. :'-( ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Kodama Piggyback" Scene.
![]() ![]() ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I like the scene where Ashitaka first set foot in the forest, It's amazing how just by watching the scene, I can feel the peacefulness of the place. The Forest was magical and the kodamas are a perfect combination of cute and creepy. One of my favorite scene and imaginary place ever. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "LSD Trip" Scene.
![]() ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I couldn't find the movie clip, but you who already have seen the movie will know what I mean and why. Yea... I'll have what he's having. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Tap Dancing" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magical, mesmerizing, and hypnotizing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:
The "Imaginary Fight" Scene.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I can relate so much with this scene. Lol, there's a little Rob Gordon in all of us after all. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mrnty nnsrt's rating:

Cool list. Nice to see someone mention "Stranger Than Fiction." Will Ferrell can be annoying sometimes but he tends to do extremely well in dramatic roles like that one. I really like his other film "Everything Must Go." I think it is highly underrated. Again, cool list :)
