Favorite Movies of All Time (as of Feb 2012)
Golden Age of Cinema and Other Films pre-1973How Judy Garland didn't get an Oscar for this incredible performance, I really don't know. James Mason's performance was also great. Truly a beautiful movie, with amazing songs, of course, delivered by The Worl's Greatest Entertainer. oogloriaaa's rating:
One of Judy's 3 nonsinging roles, out of her 32 films, and an amazing one at that! I love this movie! They had great chemistry. Judy could do it all. :) Robert Walker makes you love him as you watch this and his other films. oogloriaaa's rating:
A true classic, and I understand why. A great movie, with great performances. Actually quite mesmerizing. oogloriaaa's rating:
The Major and the Minor Trailer Ginger is one of my favorite actresses ever, which is one of the reasons I decided to watch it. Boy, am I glad I did! Her performance was great, so was that pf Ray Milland and the other cast. The story is just really adorable and great, and I really loved this movie. oogloriaaa's rating:
James Cagney is as always, amazing. Love seeing him singing and dancing, insted of being the gangster he was in most of his other movies. oogloriaaa's rating:
Spencer Tracy: brilliant; Mickey Rooney: brilliant to the extreme. Acting and dialogue: brilliant. Overall movie: brilliant cubed to the extreme. :) oogloriaaa's rating:
Few people can beat Clark Gable in my book, and this movie is one of the reasons why. I didn't really like Claudette Colbert, but she won me over with this movie. Just wonderful. oogloriaaa's rating:
Tracy and Hepburn, amazing leading couple. A very witty, just great movie. oogloriaaa's rating:
Another beautiful pair. They are one of the reasons I love movies. Magical. Period. oogloriaaa's rating:
Lucy and Desi, especially Lucy, were what made me start watching classic movies. They're funny, they're beautiful, and the movie is great. oogloriaaa's rating:
From the moment I heard the beautiful score during the opening credits, I knew I would love it. Plus, who minds Clark Gable? oogloriaaa's rating:
Alfred Hitchcock + Cary Grant = heavenly, real entertainment. oogloriaaa's rating:
Post-1973 and 2000sA truly beautiful movie. Real, believable depiction of the good ole days. oogloriaaa's rating:
I love this movie, I don't know why, it's just adorable. oogloriaaa's rating:
ROBERT DOWNEY JR. = heaven. Aside from that, I thought this was a good thriller. It had bits of horror splotched into it, which is as close as I'll get to watching a horror movie, for now. oogloriaaa's rating:
If you cant't tell, I like musicals. I love Michelle Pfeiffer. I also like Queen Latifah and John Travolta. A bit of James Marsden never hurt a girl either, :D. A cute movie, with great songs and a touching story line, I thought. oogloriaaa's rating:
I love superhero movies, I love Robert Downey Jr, and I love Gwyneth Paltrow. Overall, I loved the movie, the sequel was great, too. Can't wait for the third one, or for The Avengers. oogloriaaa's rating:
One of the best superhero movies ever made! Heath Ledger's performance was truly sublime. oogloriaaa's rating:
