I can strongly recommend the great unknown John Terlazzo and his album "Honor Among Thieves". You can read about it and download it from here - and don't worry, he's all for sharing last time I heard from him:

Your list made me realize how little I know about folk musicians. I thought I knew a lot of them, but I am unfamiliar with most of the artists on your list.

I must admit to being a psuedo-folk fan because the only artists I know are Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, and Bob Dylan.

What about Phil Ochs?
