Favorite films of the '50s
Herein you'll find what I consider to be the best movies of the 1950s that I have seen, arranged by both quality and how much I love each film. Most of these I've seen recently, while I haven't seen 12 Angry Men since I was in high school. Therefore, re-watching it may well alter the order of this list in the future. Anything missing is most likely due to my having not seen the film yet (and I'm still playing catch-up on 50s films).

Rear Window and Some Like it Hot are my favorites on your list - The horrorfest got me to see more 50's movies, glad I got to see Haunted Hill and The Fly - I'll be adding a regular horror section to my movie log in the new year. I liked Vertigo, but for some reason it is not as memorable for me as Rear Window was. I should watch the Disney Peter Pan again, if only to see if it's as good as I remember or am I being to hard on Hook.

Vertigo, Dial M, and Rear Window seem to play musical chairs for my number 2 spot as far as Hitchcock favorites go. (Number 1 will likely always be held by Notorious). Still gotta see Bucket of Blood, The Fly, Day the Earth Stood Still and a few others. Nice selection!

Great list. I personally love 'A Bucket of Blood' and 'House on Haunted Hill' is what got me into Vincent Price 11 years ago and now I love the man.

Some really great movies on here. Seven Samurai and Vertigo are probably my favorites in your list.
