Ava Gardner
I never get tired of looking at Ava Gardner. There really is no other face like hers. In concert with her voice, it's an unforgettable combination.
Hedy Lamarr
Have you ever seen a face appear on a screen that was so captivating, it made you forget what you were thinking? She has one of those faces.
Virna Lisi
Virna Lisi has a face that makes mere humans tremble in awe. The first time I saw her face in a movie was when I realized I was one of those mere humans.
Ingrid Bergman
Ingrid Bergman is perhaps not as beautiful in the conventional sense as some of the other actresses in her time. But she has beautiful eyes, and an expressive mouth, making her very unique. There is no face like hers, expect perhaps for her daughter, Isabella Rossellini.
Monica Bellucci
Do I really need to explain? I don't like to use the word perfection when talking about people. But she's about as close to it as you can get, without destroying the universe.
In my teenage years, I thought Merle Oberon was one of the most beautiful faces I had ever seen in a movie. Looking back, I feel like I made the right call.
Rachel Weisz
Rachel Weisz has an interesting face. She doesn't look as good in still photography as she does in movies. The motion allows her changing expressions to develop, instead of freeze.
Eleanor Parker
Cute girls were always popular on Hollywood. In a sea of cuties, Eleanor Parker was all woman. She had a beautiful sultry face, and a low seductive voice.
Dagmara Dominczyk
The first time I watched her in Count of Monte Cristo, I thought "she's too attractive for this role." Her eyes and mouth are close to perfection.
Valeria Golino
Valeria Golino has large eyes, and her face has a lot of character. She has the kind of face that would look good painted in a beautiful portrait.
Marisa Tomei
Marisa has features that might not look good on someone else. But the sum of her features makes for an attractive woman with an interesting, likeable face.
Rosanna Arquette
Rosanna Arquette has extreme features. Long nose, short face, large lips. All put together, it makes for an interesting combination; different, but in a good way.
Claire Forlani
Claire Forlani has pronounced facial features (eyes, nose, cheekbones) that make her face interesting and lovely. I think her eyes are her strongest feature.
Francoise Yip
She is a supporting actress, so you may have seen her but don't immediately recognize her. She's a beautiful Canadian actress of Chinese/Canadian descent.
Leigh Taylor-Young
Natural beauty is something you don't often see in Hollywood. It was prevalent in the 70's, when she was a young actress.
Joseph Grey's rating:
I'm going to explore some of my favorite faces. Invariably, I'll end up leaving some out for the sake of brevity. This is going to be a somewhat modular list, and I'll be changing some selections over time. The selections are in no specific order. Take note, this is not a "most beautiful" or "Hottest" list, but a list about great faces: unique, lovely, interesting, or striking.
A big thanks to all of the listal members who have uploaded great images of these beautiful women.
Great list! FWIW, I never got the appeal of Aaliyah? In case you're wondering what Hedy Lamarr was thinking, she was a brilliant mathematician who developed encryption codes during WWII that are the backbone for radio systems like Nextels.
I didn't know that about Hedy Lamarr. Beautiful and a genius? Too much. I'd love to sit and crunch numbers with her all day. And night... And the next day.
Even if i'm a girl, the first time I saw Hedy Lamarr I was amazed. She was the most beautiful women on cinema and still is, for me. Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman and Lauren Bacall were stunning as well. Great list.
Wow! What a great job! Check out mine!? And share your opinion. They're called " Most Beautiful Woman" and " Your my Favorite ;)" I only have two cause I'm new!
I knew Audrey would be on it, but she is just so lovable.
I never realized how beautiful and ADORABLE Rachel Leigh Cook's face was until now. She has the prettiest brown eyes.
