While taking a walk in the Mongolian veld, six-year-old Nansaa finds a little black and white spotted dog in a cave along the cliffs. She names him 'Zochor' ('Spot' in English) and takes him home with her. Against the objections of her parents, she keeps the little dog and they quickly become best friends.

When her father goes on a long trip to the city to sell sheepskins, Nansaa loses track of the pup in the tundra and, while searching for him, encounters an old woman who tells her the legend of the cave of the yellow dog. It is only after an episode during which Zochor saves the life of their youngest son that Nansaa’s parents finally see his good soul.

Dr. Jarret has genetically engineered Max to be the best guard dog in the world: he is stronger, can see further, run faster, climb trees and is the smartest animal in the animal kingdom! The only problem is that, to keep Max under control, he needs to remain drugged.

One of Dr Jarret's colleagues decides to expose the inhuman work that his team at 'E Max' are doing to animals by contacting TV reporter Lori Tanner. Tanner ends up breaking into the lab and releasing Max, not realising the danger.

If Jarret doesn't find his dog soon, the sedatives will wear off and Max will become an unstable killing machine.

Thanks, Hennÿ! Fortunately, the puppies don't watch much television, they're too busy chasing each other. The cat sometimes does watch it though, especially if there are mice or other cats involved :)
