Why I never watched it:
22 James Bond's movies and I didn't watch any of them. Why? 'Cos I think he's the most sexist, braggart and vain character ever created.
Why I never watched it:
Too long, too dramatic, too romantic. I mean, this three adjectives might be fine alone, but together they become a lethal mix.
Will I watch it someday?
No, blowing my nose while I watch a movie is something annoying.
Why I never watched them:
Honestly, I don't know why. When I was a child I used to watch a Batman serial on TV and I really enjoyed it. Maybe I got tired of "him" or maybe I find these films too spectacular than that naive TV show.
Will I watch them someday?
Everybody's suggesting me to watch it. I think I'll give it a chance.
Why I never watched it:
The book was interesting because talked a lot about Tibet and its traditions before the Chinese invasion but the story was very thin, so I thought it would be boring in a film-version. And Brad Pitt's expression on the poster stopped me from watching.
Will I watch it someday?
I'd rather read the book again.
Why I never watched them:
I watched the first Matrix many years ago and to be honest I don't remember why I didn't like it. But it was enough to keep me from watching the other two movies.
Will I watch them someday?:
I'll surely re-watch the first movie, and then I'll consider watching these.
Why I never watched them:
They don't attract me as well as I've never liked body-builders: too much of muscles and self-confidence take away the pleasure of imperfection.
Why I never watched it:
Basically, I don't like this kind of videogames, and I don't like Angelina Jolie acting. Then, I read some reviews saying it's one of the worst movies ever. Three good reasons are enough for me.
Will I watch it someday?
Is it that awful? Maybe I'll check it. Or maybe not.
Why I never watched them:
I must confess: when I was a teen I used to watch Buffy the vampire slayer and followed the love story between Buffy and Angel. But now I'm too old for vampire hunting.
Will I watch them someday?
The more time passes the less I think I'll watch them.
Oh come on, there are some good films on your list! :D
Yeah you can pass on Twilight stuff and Dan Brown movies (although i liked the novels).
I was dissapointed after watching Avatar, you are totally right.
But how can you live without Pretty Woman?? It's definitely a 'must watch' for every girl! (okay just kidding :D)
I'd suggest a re-evaluation on the 1st Die Hard, the 1st Exorcist, the 1st Harry Potter and perhaps even Pretty Woman. They're all classics I will personally watch over and over again (well, maybe not Pretty Woman). But there are as many opinions as there are viewers - or are they prejudices in this case... :)
does that mean you have watched them and wanted to see how people would react or you actually haven't watched them? Most of the movies on your list are pretty good so i don't understand your argument with them
congratulation, very good list, i like the persons who have clear borderline between marketing movies and the rest, you are so radical therefore so good, today be much poor and conventional overrated movies. you forget Forrest Gump. maybe you like, but for me this the number one in a list like this. never never seen it... good luck and thanks for your interesting list.
I never cared for many of these either, but you are missing out on some good movies. Just because they are popular, it doesn't mean they are overrated or bad.
@autofluke: it's not a mere question of popular or commercial movies, it's that some subjects, some stories don't rouse my interest. But - as you can see - I added a section about "changing my mind" or something... So I may give some chance to a few of this films...
I also say this list is made just for listening to your suggestions about what I've been missing :)
Batman Begins was interesting when I saw, I went to see her for commitment, I had not seen any other way, but I'm not disappointed, it was another point of view of the movies used to be batman, not much action but personal identity conflicts. batman 2 of Nolan, it matches with your fears, but entertaining very spectacular and made for the masses.
I have watched most of these movies and I gotta say while most of them aren't really worthy it or that good, there are a few that are must-sees and great classics that don't belong in such a list. To name them: The Dark Knight, Die Hard (this one is a good movie, but mainly for action/die hard scenarios fans) and Dr. No.
I agree with most of the movies on the list. I watched some of them that I wish I hadn't (btw, I wish I hadn't watched Dark Knight)
I don't know haw a Johnny Depp fan can pass on Pirates, the first part is actually good.
an alternative name for this list might be "Movies you'll have to turn your brains off before watching"
@Lodizhka: I know I should give another chance to Pirates (or other movies on this list). That's why I made the section about "changing my mind".
The title you wrote would be good for another list of mine, Sleeping or Screaming: the worst movies I've seen :)
Brava Aira..Bella lista complimenti!!!
Un'altra pessima performance è stata in The Tourist, sembrava rintronato.
"It sounds boring, like others Audrey Hepburn's films" Totally disagree I 'l encourage batman the dark knight 'cause it has a very smart plot the exorcist I've never got why people say it's scary..it's not
and the twilights very annoying unless you want to see some hot guys and mediocre effects
"Punch Drunk Love" and "Funny People" will definitely change your mind on Adam Sandler. Those films have better scipts and professional directors who care about filmmaking rather than making the audience stupid.
I pretty agree, The Notebook was so damn boring and I didn't even find it that romantic. It was like a story for teenager girls. I actually hated it ,and Twilight is the dumbest movie ever. The only movie that got my attention in a good way is Click. I saw it and I must say it impressed me. Atleast, I learned something from that movie. Oh, and Pretty Woman is pretty bad, a waste of time. And about The Exorcist, that girl's makeup is the only scary thing.
i was a big fan of the old series with adam west batmen, and these new dark knight movies are much different. i suggest u watch at least the dark knight rises, its the best one and one of the greatest movies of all time.
american pie is hilarious, but it is all about sex.u could skip american pie, but watch the movie superbad. its like american pie with the kids who want to lose their virginity and all, but its not just that, its the funniest movie of all time.
watch the sean connery and daniel craig james bonds, but skip all the others.
That is hilarious list :D I have dissapointed by many of them (like The Notebook, My Big Fat Wedding and Die Hard) and lost many precious hours of my life.
The Exorcist IS scary, if you aren't fan of horror movies it is absolutely no point watching it.
I would recomme Breakfast At Tiffanys (just fun little movie, which has no connection with the same song title), The Dark Knight Rises and first Mission Impossible movie (it was more exciting than thrilling)
and yeah, and never Twilight, keep strong :)
Breakfast at Tiffany's is not a masterpiece and if you don't like other Audrey Hepburn films, you probably wouldn't like it either. It's pretty cheesy. I like it, aside from the really unfortunate casual racism in it (very outdated).
The only three on here I really loved that I think you're missing out on are "The Exorcist", "American Pie", and "Die Hard". They're all very funny and entertaining and a pleasure to watch, even if you don't like their subjects or actors.
"American Pie" has a lot of heart and sensitivity. It's not just a dumb sex comedy, and "Die Hard" has a lot of laughs...it's not just a dumb muscleman action picture. The villain's performance especially is very amusing and clever.
In "The Exorcist", I just love all the crazy stuff the girl says and does when she's possessed. It's not that scary. I wasn't scared, I just enjoyed it because I loved seeing the unpredictable demon in action.
I found the usage of bodybuilder and Bruce Willis in the same sentence hilarious!!! ;)
That said, I agree with Rebekka, Hepburn's films are fantastic.
The Ocean's movies were quite witty; you just might enjoy them. The Matrix and Dark Knight movies are vastly overrated though; they're good but they aren't all that...
I know I have a limited knowlegde of Audrey Hepburn, maybe it's because the first and only movie with her I've ever seen is Sabrina and - in spite of the cast and the director - I didn't like it at all. When I was younger I used to have a definite idea of A.H. characters: a snobbish uptown girl who thinks that eventually she'll have everything she wants just because of her beauty and gentleness. I guess it's time for approaching her movies, maybe I'm old enough to change my mind.
That's why I made another list, in fact called I changed my mind.
About the Exorcist, it's not I don't like horror movies. I think horror is such a complicated and various genre, everyone has his own taste. The devil and vomit are not for me.
Ok, Bruce Willis it's not exactly a body-builder, but he still have a stong body, even if he's old now! :P

Am not much of a Bruce Willis fan, but Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber in Die Hard is perhaps one of the greatest villains to have adorned the screen.

NEVER watch twilight!
Exorcist not scary one bit. its very dated

I think they are a little old fashioned for you:)
