The left photo is how the face would be if the right side were equal to the left side, the center photo is the original one and the right photo is how the face would be if the left side of the face were equal to the right side.
This is such an awesome idea for a list!
Generally I think the original is best. However, with Kiera Knightley I think she's prettier with the right taking on the left side. Scarlett too looks stunning with both left sides. Everyone with both right sides aren't as pretty however. I think that the left side of the face, especially with peopole who are right handed, has more expression, so maybe that's why the left sided faces are more attractive, at least to me
Nice idea. The left Keira Knightley looks better than the right one. And the right Adriana Lima looks better than the left one.
I made one for Aya Matsuura you can add if you like:
You have to have a perfect straight-on portrait (or you get distortion like with Catherine Zeta-Jones) and rotate it to be perfectly horizontal before mirroring it horizontally. Then you have to decide exactly where to make the midline for each half of the face. A single pixel to the left or the right can make a significant difference in the result; you just have to try different crops by unlinking a layer mask and nudging it. Once you've chosen, its still surprisingly hard to get the mirrored half at exactly the halfway mark as you're nudging that. Its also surprising that a result that looks good at a large size can look distorted when you reduce it to a small size. Certain hairlines add to the perceived distortion, so I can see why you cropped them out in some of your images.
