I couldn't go to a video store in the 90's without seeing a picture of Juliette Lewis on the cover of a new release. She starred in "Cape Fear," "Kalifornia," "Natural Born Killers," "Strange Days," and "From Dusk till Dawn."
Renne Zellweger had plenty of work in the 90's before becoming incredibly famous a decade later. "Love and a .45," "Empire Records," and "Jerry Maguire" are just a few of the movies she starred in in the 90's.
Courtney Cox will be always remembered alongside Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow as the trio of ladies in 1994's "Friends." Unlike the other two women, someone was trying to kill her with a big knife in "Scream," and "Scream 2."
Debi Mazar was a co-star in a lot of 90's movies and television shows. My favorite role of hers was her character in the TV show "Working." She also made appearances in the Movies "Empire Records," "Jungle Fever," and "Malcolm X."
Sarah Michelle Gellar played Buffy in the television show "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." There's basically no way you don't already know that, even if you don't like the show. In the 90's, Gellar also co-starred in "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Scream 2," and "Cruel Intentions."
It seemed like I was seeing Queen Latifah every time I turned on my television. She had a starring role in the television series "Living Single," and she co-starred in "Juice," "Hoodlum," and "Set it Off."
If the nineties had a price tag on it, Julia Roberts could have probably afforded to buy it outright. She had so many roles in the 90's, some of which include "Flatliners," "Hook," "Michael Collins," and "My Best Friends Wedding."
Gretchen Mol co-starred in "Donnie Brasco," "Finding Graceland," and "Rounders." Any movie that I saw her in in the 90's, I would sit down and watch for the sole reason that she was in it. Lucky for me, "Rounders" turned out to be an enjoyable and enlightening experience.
Rebecca Gayheart co-starred in the large cast of the TV show "Earth 2." She also starred in the TV movie alongside Luke Perry titled, "Invasion." She co-starred in "Scream 2," "Urban Legend," and "Jawbreaker."
I almost forgot Shannen Doherty! I couldn't watch TV without seeing her face in a preview for "Beverly Hills 90210." She was also one of the ensemble cast of "Mallrats," a classic (can we say classic only 16 years later?) 90's movie.
Joseph Grey's rating:
Many of the movies I watched in the 90's contained these actors and actresses. This isn't a "Best of" or "Favorite" list, I just wanted to compile a list of some of the actors and actresses that I remember seeing a lot of in movies and television the 90's. This list is of the ladies, a separate list will be made for the men, for the sake of brevity. Invariably I'll leave some out, but I think 30 is enough for now. Feel free to remind me of some of the obvious ones I missed.
