The clone wars was such a great period in Star Wars history and the movie was totally botched. I hated every minute of the love connection scenes. This movie had so much potential, and none of it was achieved. I think this could have been episode one and stretched across 2 movies. Instead we got two underachieving movies.
Darth Maul is cool and pod racing is fun, but it doesn't do enough to make it on par with the other Star Wars movies. oh and Jar Jar Binks.
I do appreciate the good out of this movie, but I admit that I join the large percentage of audiences that can't stand some parts of it. Rose is a bad character. Are her and Finn a thing? Their pointless side quest was unbearable. Hollywood felt that they needed to put their political views in the movie(valid or not). Why not just tell Poe your plan in the first place? Also, Mary Poppins... I mean Leia. Could have been great. It is not that it needed anything more, but rather just take out the mishaps I mentioned above.
A beautifully simple movie. I don't think it has aged as well as episode 5 and 6, but it introduces so many characters so well and starts off this franchise with a bang.
Good movie. Didn't like that Rey was somehow great at everything she did with little to no training. Also, Kylo is a whiny baby. Nothing original, but they didn't screw it up at least.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
I thought it was a really fun movie. I liked the casting and the acting. Although it was a good movie, it didn't completely feel like a Star Wars movie to me. Something was missing that could have given it the Star Wars feels. Not sure what it is, but I still really enjoyed it.
A tragic story with some great lightsaber battles. Yeah it is a little more like dancing at times, but overall I think it does pretty well telling the story of Anakin's downfall.
My favorite as a kid, probably because I really enjoyed the Endor setting and the Ewoks beating up on storm troopers.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
The most underrated Star Wars movie. You don't need a lightsaber to make a great movie. That scene at the end of the movie though…
Almost unanimously the best Star Wars movie ever and for good reason. Some good lightsaber battles and one of the biggest surprises in cinematic history. Hoth, Boba Fet, and Tom Toms!
My ranking of every major Star Wars film so far.
