Just as Texas is to America, Essex is a unique county of England, with its own unique people and way of life. Essex girls have a worldwide reputation (Essex Girl jokes), Essex boys too but for different reasons. This is a list of famous people born or know for living in Essex.

Frank Lampard was an essexian, as was Alan Davis, Terry Venables, Joe Pasquale, John Terry and Noel Edmonds. I only mention these because I have tenuous links to them all.
