A bit of a disappointment, but it was still rather entertaining, to look into how Burton pictures Wonderland was very intriguing to me.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)

There was a few disappointments, but it was certainly less of disappointment than Alice in wonderland. I sill found it very watchable. And enjoyed it alot.

Again, it wasn't everything I was expecting, as I am not all that keen on Musicals, but once I got past that I enjoyed this alot. Certainly something to watch if you haven't seen it yet.

Mars Attacks! (1996)

A very good film, I enjoyed it alot.
It also had the likes of the legendary Jack Nicholson; in which I believe he improved the film in general but despite that it still remains a favourite of Burton's work for me. Very entertaining movie.

Not quite as good as the original, but it was still a very good watch. I like Michelle as Catwoman very much, she played the part well, even her Selina Kyle ego.
Devito also played a very good Penguin, plus in my opinion I think Michael Keaton was a very good Batman. I think he dedicated himself alot to that role. That's why I'm glad he didn't play Batman in the over two failures that would soon follow after and that Tim Burton did not direct them.

Ed Wood (1994)

A very good movie, how Burton made a decent quality film and base it around the making of some awful films and Ed Wood was very clever and well thought out. I'm a big fan of this movie. It's certainly in the top three of Burton movies I liked and am very fond of.

Batman (1989)

Now I know some of you are going to be shocked or think I overrated this movie now but I just loved it. I found this more better than any Christian Bale Batman movie.
I throughout was excited and just loved everything about this defiantly one Burton's best if not then it's his bloody best! Plus I liked alot more since it has one of my favourite actor in it; Jack Nicholson, who plays the part of The Joker very well, just like Heath Ledger did in The Dark Night, but they were both very different Jokers I believe. Both Jokers where very different as in character wise and decision making, but I love both Jokers alot still of course.

Defiantly.....The best Burton Movie for me ever, so far..
And in a way I don't want it to get better than this.
Because I know it can't!

I am not as big a fan of Burton as I used to be due to the disappointing movies he has been making recently. I do agree with you on several points, though:

1 - He made the best Batman movies.

2 - Beetlejuice was very good. It was probably the first movie that showed his style and what he was all about as a director. It was probably his most commercial movie as well.

3 - Edward Scissorhands was also very good. It was a touching story of an innocent young man whose only fault was that he was different from everyone else. The story was not bogged down by sentimentality, either, it had some good laughs as well.

3 - I also found Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd disappointing. I had no interest in seeing Alice in Wonderland at all.

Burton's first big feature, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, was mostly just a showcase for the Pee Wee character, but you could see hints of Burton's style and what was to come with his next movies. The part where Pee Wee encounters Large Marge, the truck driver and she turns into a 'Beetlejuice' type monster is pure Burton.

I haven't seen Ed Wood, Nightmare Before Christmas, or Mars Attacks, but I hear good things about them and wouldn't mind checking them out.

I didn't like his remake of Planet of the Apes. He changed it around so much, it kind of ruined the franchise for me.

I also prefer the original Willie Wonka movie. Burton's affects may have been more up to date, but Depp could not touch Wilder in that role, although to his credit, he tried to go in his own direction and not try to copy Wilder's character.

I wasn't interested in seeing Corpse Bride, as it appeared to be another retread of the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. The same goes with Frankenweinie.

I still think Burton is talented and has some good movies left in him, but he sure is in a slump, in my opinion.
