David Cronenberg was born March 15 1943 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
David began his career as a film director in 1969 with Stereo his first full lenght feature starring Ronald Mlodzik, Jack Messinger and Clara Mayer and during his successful career he directed some great actors such as James Woods, Viggo Mortensen, Ralph Fiennes, Holly Hunter , Julianne Moore and Keira Knightley and he directed some popular horror movies such as Shivers (1975) Scanners (1981) and The Fly (1986) and some amazing films like the Dead Zone (1983) Crash (1996) A History Of Violence (2005) and the excellent Eastern Promises in 2007.

For me it's Eastern Promises my fav but in his horror era it's The Fly and Scanners : )
