Description
Like Bernard Herrmann, Nino Rota and John Williams, as one of the greatest composers in movie history, Italian Composer Ennio Morricone did over 300 soundtracks for European and American films. Morricone has collaborated several times with a great director, Sergio Leone. He had also composed for Brian de Palma, Bernardo Bertollucci, Roman Polanski, Gillo Pontecorvo, Pasolini, Pedro Almodóvar, Zeffirelli, Oliver Stone and many others, though not as many times as the Leone/Morricone partnership. In a carrer of over 50 years and counting, here are a few of the films he worked in. ![]() Related Lists:

Morricone - high on my list of great film composers - also created the score for John Carpenter's THE THING.
My fave as well...
You probably overlooked it because it sounds much like a Carpenter score!
The Cat o' Nine Tails
The Great Silence
Some worth mentioning.
