Comic Book Movies - From Best to Worst |

I admit I had no idea that this was based on a comic book when I was watching this.
What really drew my attention was the smooth and sometimes even hypnotic cinematography. This kind of cinematography gives the film perfect film-noir feel. Also the story is a fascinating analysis of the relationship between man and his son. Father is a gangster but after all the son still sees his father as a father and not as a gangster. Mustanaamio7's rating:
Dick Tracy includes colorful caricatures, compelling story and actors perfect for their roles. This would not be the same if made with modern cgi-effects and I would say this movie was also one of the most pleasant movie related surprises I've ever had. It has such unique feeling to it.
The most interesting characters are of course detective Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty), Marlene Dietrich look-a-like femme fatale called Breathless Mahoney (Madonna) and the main villain Big Boy Caprice (Al Pacino). My favorite supporting character was Mumbles (Dustin Hoffman). Mustanaamio7's rating:
This includes some of my favorite villains of all time: the Penguin! Danny De Vito's acting performance is the best in the series. This is as dynamic visually as most of the other Burton's movies but this is also critical which makes it special. For example, we see how rich people are partying and they leave their children home alone. Very bad thing to do when there's the Penguin in the city...

Probably still the most talked about comic book movie is not dated at all so it is still entertaining portrayal of a one kind of a hero. Prince's music fits the overall tone of the movie wonderfully.
I especially love the museum scene in which Joker and his gang are destroying art while playing Prince's "Partyman" song. This film is Tim Burton at his finest. Mustanaamio7's rating:
Brandon Lee gives great performance as Eric Draven and dark atmosphere is really captivating. Too bad the story is too predictable. Still this have some very memorable moments and also good dialog.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
Val Kilmer is decent Bruce Wayne and Batman and Nicole Kidman is sexy and sultry as Chade Meridian. Also Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones gives both good villain performances and they also have some nice dialogue together. I like this little different take on Batman because it's colorful mostly in good way and it's never boring. There are also some great camera angles. Burton's movies are deeper though.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
Erotic scifi-comedy from 60's. See Jane Fonda in god knows how many different outfits and experience psychedelic adventure on very strange and quite perverted planet.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
Biggest problem in Spider-Man is that the main hero is too plastic looking in too many scenes. I don't like most of the gliding scenes because they aren't physical enough. But Willem Dafoe is good as always and all in all actors are quite good in their roles.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
It's a classic character for sure but the movie is very dated now and not really that entertaining at all. Christopher Reeve's is perfect for this role but I think the story is too hollow. Ending is one of the most ridiculous of all time and absolutely nothing in it makes any sense.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
Plot is average quality but I just cannot take that purple spandex seriously.
Mustanaamio7's rating:
Many story elements in this have strange similarities to a classic movie Casablanca. Casablanca! It's sounds weird but it is true. But who cares about the story when there is well you know what. I have to admit that this film isn't really that boring at all but it is really really corny. Pamela looks good in her leather suits and she can pose for a camera pretty well.
