My grandmother got me and my brother this I'm thinking in 1992 because we got Sonic 2 with it. It was quite a surprise! I still remember playing Sonic 2 with my little brother back then and by myself figuring out how to play it without reading any manuals or anything. I was 4 years old at the time I started playing video games. I think I may have even played some NES games before this that my dad had as well so I've been playing games all my life pretty much.

This was the first game I ever beat. I'll never forget the night I beat it the first time. I went and woke up my mom and my brother and was so excited to tell them I beat it!!

We never got a lot of games for the Game Gear but we still loved playing it. I remember me and my brother had two individual trees put up in our bedroom the year we got this and I believe this was under mine.

My mom mainly played this game. I couldn't remember the name of this game for the longest time until the other day I found a video of it on YouTube. I want to actually get this game again and play it for myself. Maybe I'll even let my mom have another crack at beating it.

This was another gift from my grandmother which she must have given us in 1993 because from what I remember this was given to us a year after the Genesis was. It was another great system.

This game was more my dad's than me and my brother's. We tried playing it several times but we never could get far in it. It wasn't until last year that I actually beat this thanks to the Game Boy Advance version.

It was 1997 that I began to keep track of the gifts I got each Christmas in a journal I got from my mom. We got the PS1 this year. Of course back then it was just the regular Playstation. I remember one of my cousin's playing Crash Bandicoot at my grandmother's house, (not the grandmother who got us the Genesis and SNES though), when we went over to visit one time the summer before. I watched him playing it and I was amazed at how awesome it looked!! I told my mom that I wanted to get that game so bad! Well come Christmas I got what I asked for!!

Even better than the first one. I also got the strategy guide with it but we got a leak shortly after Christmas in our living room and it just happened to be over the spot where I left my game guide and it was ruined...

I loved this game as well!! I think the second one is my favorite though. It was a slow year for games this year. I never wrote down anything else other than this one for 1998. We did get a new Playstation though because our first got to where it wouldn't read discs properly...

I ended up getting this game because it was like a sequel to Parappa the Rapper at the time. I played a demo of Parappa on the Playstation demo disc that came with our first Playstation and I wanted to get it. Unfortunately we never could find it for sale anywhere except in one place but at the time I found it I couldn't get it because it was at a time of the year that wasn't near any holiday...I did get it years later though with a used copy that had everything in it like new from a video game store in my area so it all worked out in the end. But, anyway, I loved this game and it entertained me for years after.

I need to go get my hands on a copy of this game again. It's my favorite Christmas game. I enjoyed this much more than the PS1 game of the same name. I would like to go back and actually beat that one though.

I never did get Crash Team Racing in 2000. Looking back on it I wish I had though because I rented it and played a demo as well from a Pizza Hut demo disc we had and it was great. I did on the other hand get Crash Bash which was my least favorite out of all the Playstation Crash games. I've never played any of the newer ones but I may one day. Anyway, I remember I really wanted this game at the time and I didn't get it from my parents when I woke up and went out with my brother to the living room to look at the gifts. I got it later that night when we went to my grandmother's place, (my grandmother who's house I went to and seen my cousin playing the original Crash game). It was VERY frustrating. I tried beating it over and over but never could and for years it remained the only Crash game I played that I never beat, (beside the PS2 games and other newer Crash games). Well, I finally beat it last month after close to 10 years of owning it!!!!!

I loved taking care of my Pikachu 2. I carried this around with me pretty consistently up until about 2004 I'd say. I later ended up giving it to my friend Joe who is still a huge Pokemon fan. I know he'll give it a better home than I could.

Damn, that was a great Christmas!! We woke up to a PS2 this year and what a leap it was from a Playstation. Not only was it our first PS2 but it was also our first DVD player back when VHS was still our main form of watching movies.

I was LONGING for this game for at least a year before I got it. I played Metal Gear Solid and a while after I got this game magazine that had this little tiny article in it that had a picture from the Tanker section. From there I wanted it right then. When I finally got it I wasn't disappointed. I could've played as Snake more but I didn't mind Raiden.

This was a random game my mom picked up for me that she thought I would like. At the time I played it I had never really played an RPG before. My brother played them more than I did and was a fan of the Final Fantasy games. They never interested me so when she got this for me I was wary of playing thinking that this was gonna be something that I would find boring. I began to play it and it really drew me in with the story. It took me like six months the first time I played through it to beat it but that was mainly because I was playing MGS2 through that time as well. I ended up letting my friend Joe borrow it from me one time and he really liked it as well. I don't understand why more people haven't played it. It deserves a sequel as well.

This was actually my brothers but I played it more than he did. I was more of a fan of Gundam than he was and I don't know why my parents never got this for me. It was an alright game but I never could beat it because it was so damn difficult!!

The reason we got a Gamecube. We spent hours and hours playing this game decorating our houses and paying off our loans and catching bugs and fish as well as digging up fossils. The DS game and Wii seem to be pretty much like this one except for a few additions but they are all entertaining.

This is the game that got me back into Sonic!! I'm ashamed to admit that I had kinda forgot in a way how good Sonic's Genesis games were that I played as a kid. With this game my mom randomly picked up I remembered how awesome those games really were and this time I'll never forget.

Aaa, the first Hitman game I played. I played a demo of this in like March or April of 2002 on an Offical Playstation Magazine demo disc and from there I wanted to get this game. I got it for Christmas that year with the game guide.

I saw it in an Electronics Boutique and at the time I was into ninja stuff so I got my mom to get it for me for Christmas. I didn't really like it in the end though. It was alright but I actually forgot about it and hadn't even listed it as even been played by me on here until a few days ago. My brother liked it better.

Interesting idea but poorly executed. I could never really play the damn thing properly unless the room i was in was lit very well and even when I thought it was the Eye Toy would still act like it wasn't!!

This was the first Silent Hill game I played. My mom thought I'd like it so she got it for me and she was right. I loved it at the time I got it and it let me to playing all of the others. When I went out and rented Silent Hill 2 though Silent Hill 3 wasn't as good to me after that and all the others I played. I still like it though!!

I never did long for this game as much as MGS2 for some reason. I guess it was because it was a prequel telling the story of Big Boss. I did love it though nonetheless.
