There was a time when the musicians really play around with the covers of their albums. Creativity had reached levels so exaggerated, that they began to see of any kind, even on disks that were then sold millions of copies. Decontextualized sacred images, symbols impressive ridiculed, and above all lots of nude scenes visceral.
For this reason, the activity of the complaint was taken down more than happy about the artists, in many cases forcing them to completely change the cover or find the tricks, sometimes very funny.
Here is a kaleidoscope of images that I am sure will surprise a lot.
It's a telling comment on society since the majority of these are sex or nudity related, nothing to do with violence. Although there are a couple (like the Scorpions one) that are clearly inappropriate.
"Party Music was originally scheduled to be released in early September 2001. Its release was delayed until November 2001 due to its original cover art, which depicted Boots Riley and Pam the Funkstress destroying the twin towers of the World Trade Center using a Covert-Labs digital chromatic tuner as a detonator. The original cover was created in June 2001."

I also have the un-censored version of The Stones' Some Girls and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors.
Golden Earring's Moontan also got censored and replaced with the big ear cover.

The Beatles cover is just too creepy.
