It is my fortune (or misfortune) to like shows outside the mainstream; cult favorites, too-smart-for-the-general-public type shows. If it's in the top 10, I probably don't watch it. Most of the shows on this list didn't last all that long; the few that went multiple seasons probably could have gone longer, but for ratings. At any rate, here are the shows that I loved that for whatever reason, got short shrift from network execs and the rest of the viewing public.
A lot of these I've never gotten into, but I'm glad to see Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones, and Pushing Daisies on here. Of course I love MST3K, Monty Python, Black Adder, and some others here too. Feel free to check out my list of shows I miss.
Thanks for the vote and comment, Sam! Ashes to Ashes had some of the same characters as LoM, but took place nearly a decade later, so I would call it a sequel but not a continuation.
good list but as Abhi said some of the shows like Fawlty Towers, Jonathon Creek simply stopped because the writers could not come up with any more good ideas - rather than flog a dead horse they moved on
Any list like this needs Tower Prep http://www.listal.com/tv/tower-prep - possibly the best teens show I have seen
