Great list. Great actresses. I'm not sure why they would be considered underrated. Elizabeth Taylor, underrated? Maybe they've been somewhat neglected in recent years, but when they were making movies, these actresses were celebrated, and extremely popular.

Vintage, thanks for the comment and vote! Yes they were extremely popular at the height of their careers, that is for sure, they had millions of adoring fans. It's that "some" of the critics were "quick" to write off a certain performance because the actresses beauty would deter from the performance. Many such performances are now looked at by today's critics as "phenomenal". Yes, if you look back at certain critics in the 50's & 60's even Elizabeth Taylor was criticized in some of her biggest most popular roles, as were Natalie, Marilyn and the others! That's why I made the list because "I" feel their beauty often times over shadowed theses beauties!

That is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen of Marilyn Monroe,she doesn't have a lot of make up on and she's more beautiful this way then when she was heavily made up! I also love the pose.And Natalie Wood was really beautiful and a really good actress too.

Great List . We forget that its the hedy lamar's beauty used as template for future cosmetic surgeries. she had been said completely complete face. Few know that she invented something. Guess what:)
