Picks up more than a couple of centuries after the Fall of Hyperion. The cast of characters is different, the universe is vastly different. Answers some of the questions posed in the last book but raises a whole set of new ones. Engrossing.

Almost a year and a half after reading Hyperion, I finally read the sequel to this engrossing tale.

When I read 'The Hunger Games', I had no idea the dystopic depths this trilogy was going to plumb. Kudos to the author for following through with her vision, her grey characters and her obvious dislike of a fairy tale endings. A satisfying conclusion.
