These are movies that have huge expectations, and flopped or did not do as expected. They should have a reasonable amount of money to work with, or more. Some of these movie I like. Half of them are near-and-dear to me. Either I wanted them to succeed, or I still like them. What I don't get is why in Remo Williams, Joel Grey was Asian.
Posted: 1 year, 2 months ago at Mar 29 16:19
Yeah, that was the craziest thing. I read the books, and the character was Korean in the book. But in the modern time, that does not mean you put an non-Asian in yellow face. That is not a good thing.

Spending 180 million dollars to make a movie, that is just a waste, but it's all around in today's era of film making. Money means nothing to them. Heard John Carter's director on Kermode a while back arguing that 5 million dollars is "not enough money" to make a movie. Good list, and I agree with most of them. Hollywood too greedy is what it is, we have foreign film makers that don't spend half that money and they are putting quality films out more today than Hollywood is with their re-used ideas from the past.

Every movie needs a singing babe and a feathered duck-billed hero.
