Professional wrestling may consist largely of men with huge arms and enough muscle to share, but there are some powerful and smart women in professional wrestling as well. These women not only have the strength to take you on but they have beauty and brains as well...at least some of them have the brains. Here is a list of some of the most influential and powerful women in the professional wrestling business.
Feel free to suggest others you think deserve a spot on this list.
Very nice list!
I disagree with kikki above, however; I think McCool has both great in-ring skills as well as (heel) charisma, which are equally important to any pro-wrestler. She deserves to be listed.
The only entry that I do disagree with perhaps is Stephanie McMahon. I think Stephanie is great btw, and I loved her during her roles of valet, manager, and as GM of RAW/SmackDown. As a wrestler/Diva, however, she simply couldn't compare to most of the female roster. Regardless, her in-character persona was always done well.
I really need to hurry up and finish my list of favorite female pro-wresters; you've inspired me!
Well, Stephanie McMahon was never a wrestler, Maria Kanellis was horrible, and you left off Gail Kim, probably the best non-indy female wrestler working today, but hey, at least someone made a list!
Errr... on the contrary, Fnord, Stephanie was a WWE (WWF) Diva for a stint, and even held the Women's Championship once back in 2000 (with outside interference on her behalf).
Of course, if you meant to say Stephanie was never a good wrestler, that I'll agree with hands down! ;D
But totally right about Maria and Gail, on both counts.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! for Chyna, way to go Joanie Laurer, DX was a bunch of brainless punks without you and the WWE was never the same once you left!
Nothing could have resembled 'sweet justice' more than the reaction she got when she 'returned' on Impact! So glad people still have fond memories of her...
