The 80's had so many great films, and it's pretty difficult for me to arrange them in order of my most liked. So here are the movies I found to be greats for 80's cinema.
Agree completely about 80's movies - it is without a doubt my favorite movie decade - 13 movies on your list would also be on my list of favorite 80's movies - I also liked The Goonies and Christmas Vacation. Wasn't a fan of First Blood or Lethal Weapon - but it has been so long since I have seen them, that maybe I should give them another chance.
@Xanadon't: Once Upon a Time in America is somewhat of a difficult film to get into, and takes a long time to fully grasp what it's trying to do. Once it got going I got hooked, but I can easily see why it wouldn't be for everyone.
I'll check your 80's list, as it seems once again we have similar taste.
@Phillydude: It's by far one of the greatest decades in cinema, no question. Lethal Weapon is more so a guilty pleasure type situation, but still managed to make this list. As first blood, it's an acquired taste, for those into old-school action without a ton of real depth.
In personal opinion, you can't really have one Back to the Future or original Star Wars film without another, since I have all 3 of each franchise on my favorite movies list. But anyway, still a good list. :)
Once Upon a Time in America is the one that I really didn't like very well that tends to surprise people.
