what's so interesting about the movie Waltz with Bashir ?
i didn't find it interesting at all, and i don't understand why almost every one love this movie ??!!
It deals with a neglected and sad part of the history, has a unique and symbolic viewpoint using psychology and memory and uses experimental animation technique which makes it a very different and innovative storytelling for a documentary. That alone makes it worthwhile. The last images with "real" (as far as cinéma can get real) footage make a horrifying impact after beautiful and almost surreal and "unreal" animation parts. That's my short answer, someone else may give a longer one.
You get my vote for LEAVING OUT: Dark Knight, No Country for Old Men and Lost in Translation. Three movies that had rave reviews but which I thought were at best, below average.
