1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Nintendo 64

My favorite game of all time and in my opinion the best Zelda. It has so much style in its art design. The "anime-ted" character design by Yusuke Nakano was really impressive; and it had a really big effect on me as a kid. The game was hard an a lot of times it was scary. The Forest Temple song was creepy for anyone (especially an 8 year old kid), the Bottom of the Well was really scary and every time a damn master hand caught me I jumped. But you always kept going no matter how scared or hard the game got.

Also the games characters where so remarkable. Each character, no matter how small there roll was, stayed with you. Every little detail in the game was polished to its finest. So no matter if it was Ganondorf playing the organ or the little kid playing in the graveyard with a stick, the memory stayed with you.

The reason why this game is so dam good its because its not missing anything. Everything they could have put into it they did it; and with their best effort.

2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Super famicom and SNES

If there was one Zelda game to present the perfect Zelda it would be A Link to the Past. It is fun, original and hard, really hard. The game feels like an illustrated fantasy book: it has magic, design and style. The colors are bright and in its dark world you do not feel safe. During the game you feel the adventure of exploring and the headaches of figuring how the hell you will get out of some really tight situations.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Nintendo 64

The best thing about Majora's Mask is its originality. The dark design, the music, the characters and the three day time shifting design; it is impressive. It is just out there for you to explore and find...
A great game.

4. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Game Boy Color

The Oracle of Seasons/Ages are so much fun, both. They have great characters and a great little story each and both together. It is just a colorful simple game.

5. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - GameCube

Wind Waker is awesome. They give Ganondorf a personality and a backstory in this game. Also the story in this game is more complex than its predecessors, and they manage it marvelously. The game has a beautiful colored simple design that makes the background, the characters and story shine. Some people where bothered by the design and the length of the ocean but I didn't mind, I liked it (although sometimes riding trough the water for a long time got a little tedious, at least there was some kind of warping...)

But the best feature of this game is the writing on the characters. This game has so many memorable characters: the butler, the guy who runs the mini-games, the photographer, Tetra, The King of Red Lions, Ganondorf, Medli, Valoo, Orca... it was great having so many characters to interact with.

6. The Legend of Zelda - Famicom and NES

The first time I played this game was a downloadable version in the gamepro website long long ago. I remember that getting to the first dungeon and beating it was a pain. But after trojans killed my PC the data was erased and I never found the game again. I ended up buying it for a new old Gameboy Advance SP I bought (my first portable). This game is the hardest thing I have ever played. I spend weeks and months trying to figure out how to beat it. It is great but it is so god dam hard, everything is hidden and you have to figure it out all. You are literally in the middle of nowhere without instructions (if you don't have the manual) with no direction indicated on where to go. If it wasn't for internet walkthroughs (which I tried to avoid every time I got stock for more than a few weeks) I wouldn't have finish it.

The game is great because you can do anything you want and the satisfaction you get when you beat it it's unmatchable.

I haven't finished this game but this game is really really good. Just the opening on the market and the town are awesome.

8. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - GameCube

Twilight Princess has some small flaws and the idea of the wolf... but still it is a great game. I loved it the first time I played it. Twilight Princess is fun, it has great characters, good cutscenes and dungeons. It really is a great game in the GameCube version of course; I can't imagine it on the Wii.

10. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Nintendo Wii

This game is good... but it has so many flaws (in my opinion). Zelda is about exploring and adventure, but this game lacks both. The sky had nothing to explore but maybe two islands and the ground areas where more like big vague dungeons than places, it felt so lifeless. Who wants to go back to any of the three areas more than once? there is nothing new there and no places to go on them so... The ground characters where more like rocks (the mole people and the jellyfish where just horrible and uninteresting). They where just there and didn't add anything. Some characters design where just horrible like: the dragons, the mole people, the whale like black beast, the jellyfishes, Demise and the bosses where forgettable in their designs (the medusa like boss was laughable). The game had a lack of mini-games or fun stages (just 3 or 4 mini-games and there wasn't even a bird race) the only fun thing was playing the harp at the bar. That was another thing, you have a harp that you can technically not play. Also the importance of the birds, especially Link's red bird is forgettable because they don't develop it. Even the choice based decisions are roughly made and they really don't matter. Some dungeons where not that good, and the game wasn't as hard as it was suppose to be; it was pretty easy actually. In the end for me the game wasn't that fun. I had low expectations before it came out so I don't think I got disappointed by expectation.

But ,saying all that, the game had some really great and memorable things. The Ancient Cistern temple was awesome, the whole Skyloft town and their characters are incredibly made and greatly written (all of them where memorable), Zelda gets a great personality (and I loved her from the start) and Ghirahim is an awesome enemy with greatly written dialog (and the sword fights with him just pump you up, I had to fight him standing up).. The story is good (not wow great as some people point out) but the whole game in my opinion lacks the magic that the other games brought. It is disappointing because it could have been so much better...

In my opinion of course...
