Yeah, after 4-6 sucking so hard I was pleasantly surprised with New Nightmare! Hope you fit Jacob's Ladder in sometime. It's all in all a very cool and original movie.
I didn't dislike Wolf, but wasn't all I'd hope either. Maybe I'll give it another shot someday. Ha, that's how I felt about the American remake! I had hopes for the original Funny Games, but guess I'll put that one off a bit...
I personally prefer the remake of Funny Games over the original, but I like both. Not that there's much difference between them, but I felt the pacing was better in the remake. The original is really overrated IMO.
Glad you included Jurassic Park - I think that gets overlooked as a great horror movie sometimes, same with The Sixth Sense -
I also loved Scream, Silence Of The Lambs and Cape Fear.
this in no way disses the list but its kind of proof that horror sucked in the 90s - for all its faults I think Blair Witch Project kick started the genre again
Funny Games is highly recommended - dont expect gore or anything typical of horro flicks but expect it to be nasty in a psychological way - I think the US remake has the slight edge over the original German(?) version
Cube is one of favourite movies - but I would not describe it as horror - has some gross moments but its more of a puzzle than anything
Well, good list... Cheers :)
Thanks for reminding me I need to see Jacob's Ladder still.
