Best Guitar Albums
A band that was a staple at every blues or rock festival in the US on the late 80s and early 90s, they also put out this album at the right time when blues rock was the flavor of the moment. They never matched the popularity of "Four" and have fallen off the rock and alt-rock radars.
Just a great jam album from one of my favorite bands. I ran the cassette into the ground before getting it on CD.

I was barely aware of them as a kid until radio started playing "I Want You to Want Me" in heavy rotation. None of the songs carry any of the same energy in their studio format,...ain't that a shame?

He got some grief from critics and fans alike for "selling out," but when a master of his craft can completely remake one his best sellers and make it sound even better, you know you're good.
Arguably one of the best live albums ever released. Loads of energy that still comes across decades later. Its a shame he didn't jump on the album's success when he had the chance,...

Along with Blues Traveler and Phish, the Spin Doctors peaked when the flavor of the month ran towards guitar-jamming blues rock.
"Little Miss Can't Do Wrong" and "Jimmy Olson's Blues" were rock top-of-the-charts staples for a while, but their follow-up floundered and they faded away,... TrekMedic's rating:
