Best Games Of The Decade
 917  8.4 Sometimes called a thinking mans shooter, Half-Life 2 is one of the best games ever made and is truly a masterpiece.
While the first Half-Life showed how a FPS could tell a great story, Half-Life 2 took that to a whole other level by adding in great characters, surprising plot twists, varied gameplay, immersive environment; all of which made a wonderful gaming experience. Uber's rating:
 
559 8.6 Anyone that has played a Metal Gear game knows that its story is a twisted mess, an engrossing and intriguing twisted mess. And Metal Gear Solid 3 is no real exception but it does it better than any of the other.
Having great characters, even some of the origins stories for some, like all the other Metal Gear's, Metal Gear Solid 3 added a weird but cool camouflage and fatigue elements that made the player have to think about their location and condition. Also while linear like all the other Metal Gear's, Metal Gear Solid 3 gave a little more room for the player to explore do to its jungle environment, which is lush, colorful, and gorgeous compared to the metallic bleak corridors of the past games. Overall Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best in the series and still holds one of the best and complex stories in any game. Uber's rating:
482 8.8 Coming from the imagination of a couple DigiPen students, not many people knew what Portal was going to be like until it's release with the Orange Box and boy did it surprise everyone.
With simple gameplay, mind challenging puzzles, very witty dialogue, Portal was a short and wonderful treat that makes one wish more games where like it. Uber's rating:
470 8.8 The first Uncharted was one of the first games on the Playstation 3 that was a must play. And Uncharted 2 surpassed it in every way.
Having the same duck and cover shooting gameplay as the first Uncharted 2 tightened them up more for excellent precision. The sequel brought the same and more of a colorful world with jungles, war torn cities, snowed mountains, and many other vistas. And the story is so engaging that players won't put it down.
