Great list overall, though I'm surprised not to see The Double Life of Veronique or Un Coeur en Hiver...then again, I don't think I could choose only 25 :p
A lot of Italian people are going to be pissed that you put "La dolce vita" in a FRENCH movies list...
And it is rather annoying that people keeps considering "The Dreamers" a French movie only because it takes place in France... The director is Italian and they only speak English during the whole movie. In this case, you could also add "The last tango in Paris", also directed by Bernardo Bertollucci, and also taking place in France....
Babette's Feast, Leon, Les Rivieres Pourpres, Jules & Jim, would probably make my list [if I made one] for best French films. --- Nice list! though I don't agree with all your choices :) Thx for sharing.
