So far not that great of a year, as it's tough to follow up a year like 2015. Perhaps many of the December films will help. I have many more I haven't seen; but these are the films I enjoyed most in the year twenty sisteen.

Looks like I really have to se La La Land.
Captain Fantastic is sitting on my shelf, so I'll give that one a watch very soon at least.

Arrival is that high, huh? I still need to see that movie, but there is something about Amy Adams that bugs me...

Yes, check out La La Land and let me know what you think, and especially Captain Fantastic. That one has received far less attention.

Arrival is a great take on the alien sub-genre. I'd like to hear what you think, and maybe it will help you figure out what bugs you about Adams.

I've heard great things about Moonlight, which seems to be a strong Oscar contender. Thought I'd recommend it to you. :)
