Best Films of 2008
A really interesting look at the influence movies of the early 20th century had on the two cubist artists
Stehako's rating:
A documentary that will surprise you at every corner.
Stehako's rating:
Anna Faris shows her sex appeal is as apparent as her comedic appeal.
Stehako's rating:
Wilson manages this half-hearted movie the best he can.
Stehako's rating:
Beautiful to watch but too much of Herzog's voice.
Stehako's rating:
An Alec Baldwin lion saves this less-than-stellar sequel
Stehako's rating:
The muscles from Brussels plays himself in a film that's more watchable than laughable... could be a first for the actor.
Stehako's rating:
There is very little dairy involved and a lot of man love.
Stehako's rating:
A slightly funny film in the vein of Christopher Guest; but it never comes close to those heights.
Stehako's rating:
A very strange yet inspiring documentary about saving your life...
Stehako's rating:
Possibly the best and scariest documentary on food yet.
Stehako's rating:
With Statham in a heist movie I was expecting Guy Richie action and editing and dialogue, instead it was a bit boring on most accounts.
Stehako's rating:
What the hell just happened to De Niro's career?
Bruce Willis makes a pretty funny cameo as himself. Stehako's rating:
You can start by not watching this.
The dance scene is pretty funny among a few other moments. Stehako's rating:
Visually just as great as the first; but it has lost a lot of the adventure and charm from the first.
Stehako's rating:
Most scenes wanted to be funny like the first film but most failed to do so. Still, the characters are funny and of course you can't lose with Neil Patrick Harris.
Stehako's rating:
Each scene becomes more painful than the previous. The scenes are very flat and dry... but a solid performance from Shannon and basically balsy attitude the director and editor had with such scenes made it likable.
Stehako's rating:
I documentary about the 90s New York art scene, by the underground movement not the snobs
Stehako's rating:
Basically the same as the original but it has Naomi Watts; so it's better
Stehako's rating:
Visually as appealing as the first, but not as interesting of a story.
Stehako's rating:
I was actually an extra in this unconventionally funny story of a semi-pro boxer; but I'm not what makes it good it's the unconventional humor that does and an honest performance from Corolla.
Stehako's rating:
These ladies are a funny pair, I'm sure we'll see more of them in the upcoming years.
Stehako's rating:
A much less-successful concert movie than Scorsese's "The Last Waltz"
Stehako's rating:
A pretty messy film but worth a second viewing because of how funny Ferrell is no matter what the film is.
Stehako's rating:
Cruz is stunning as usual, and shows quite a bit of skin. Almost so much that it distracts me from the so-so story.
Stehako's rating:
While this film is frustrating throughout it has some twists and turns that made it entertaining as a whole.
Stehako's rating:
Hathaway shows she's not just a Disney Princess
Stehako's rating:
A documentary about young sailors. Really made me crave the open sea and get on a boat myself... so actually it was as frustrating.
Stehako's rating:
A truly enigmatic creepy well-filmed horror story.
Stehako's rating:
Possibly a star-making role for Yelchin. He is pretty solid in this clever but non entirely original movie.
Stehako's rating:
Melissa Leo invests so much in this role, it's truly depressing in a cold, beautiful way.
Stehako's rating:
Danny McBride's breakout role, or how he got noticed. Like "The Hammer' it's unconventionally funny and heartbreaking.
Stehako's rating:
Carrey and Carell lose their wonderful facial/physical comedy and try out their voices in a decent rendition of a Seuss classic.
Stehako's rating:
I feel like they didn't make this as awesome as they could have because they were setting it up for a sequel; too bad one won't be made.
Stehako's rating:
Shiah running around a lot, again; but this time without five-story robots
