An inspirational tale of finding refuge in the greatest place on earth. It will most likely make my Top 100 Films list in the next couple of years.
Stehako's rating:
A perfectly written screenplay is supported by actors at their best.
Stehako's rating:
Two modern screen legends are flawless in this unique look into American life during the Vietnam War.
Stehako's rating:
Seth Rogen's script combined with a hilarious cast made this the funniest film of the year.
Stehako's rating:
The funniest and most realistic film about pregnancy I've ever seen. Star-making roles for nearly everyone in the cast.
Stehako's rating:
I was among only a few who didn't doubt this would be a solid follow up to Pixar's perfect record.
Stehako's rating:
This captivating film provided some of the most visually stunning scenes this year. If you desire to be a cinematographer, see this film.
Stehako's rating:
Somehow this film about drugs and mindless slaughtering was fun... oh yeah, it's a Coen Brothers film.
Stehako's rating:
I'd like to say this will bring the Western back, but they'll unfortunately never come back.
Stehako's rating:
One of the most entertaining documentaries I've ever seen. (The only Doc to ever make my yearly top 10)
Stehako's rating:
This is technically one of the best films made in the last decade; but I just couldn't care about enough about the characters to rank it higher
Stehako's rating:
Another fun/dumb comedy with Will Ferrell. It would have ranked higher if they chose someone funnier than Jon Heder.
Stehako's rating:
The best of the trilogy, I just can't get enough of this guy.
Stehako's rating:
I was a Beatles fan before this film; but now I'm a fanatic.
Stehako's rating:
Danny Boyle's best film to date. Visually remarkable and a very intriguing story with some rather strange surprises.
Stehako's rating:
A good-hearted and well-written comedy that lets me forgive Carell for Doing Evan Almighty.
Stehako's rating:
Although better than 'Twelve', this third film still couldn't recapture the brilliance of the first. But obviously it was still enjoyable enough to be at 17.
Stehako's rating:
A unique script played out by an terrific ensemble cast.
Stehako's rating:
Sydney Lumet has done it again, finally! I can see this film becoming even more likable with age.
Stehako's rating:
A well-executed murder mystery film that moves along in a non-formulaic pace.
Stehako's rating:
A fantastic role for Gere in this unique look into the life of Howard Hughes.
Stehako's rating:
A splendid indie-musical that will keep you humming and smiling for days.
Stehako's rating:
A very stylistic look at the many personalities of Bob Dylan and the various stages of his life. Blanchett gives it her all yet again and the results are noteworthy.
Stehako's rating:
I'm guessing this didn't do very well at the box office because of its unoriginal premise; but it was still damn entertaining.
Stehako's rating:
A story that will make you think twice, probably several times about how you live your life and treat others.
Stehako's rating:
The fourth installment is a success, I am looking forward to a fifth.
Stehako's rating:
A terrific musical that didn't want to be one (my observation from its non-musical promotions). I felt guilty for liking it afterward; but enjoyed the music nonetheless.
Stehako's rating:
An intelligent film with Wilkinson's best performance yet and Clooney doing his thing.
Stehako's rating:
One of the best foreign pictures I've seen the last couple of years. Van Houton puts in a powerful performance that should be talked about; but probably won't be.
Stehako's rating:
Another clever/stylish film from Wes Anderson. If you're a fan of his, you won't be disappointed. If you're not, don't see this film.
Stehako's rating:
I am now in love with Sienna Miller after watching this film. She reminded me a bit of Audrey Hepburn but even sexier.
Stehako's rating:
A hilarious film that I only recently saw; so its position may rise over time. I am now an Adam Samberg fan.
Stehako's rating:
Tommy Lee Jones is back to acting in good films and I can't say enough about his performance in this one. The story could have used a little more work with a little less propaganda.
Stehako's rating:
Very few actors can pull off an entire movie in solitude and that is why people love Will Smith. I am one of those people.
Stehako's rating:
For some reason people were disappointed with the third film. I felt it was the best one.
Stehako's rating:
Another great German film with Sebastian Koch (also in Black Book).
Stehako's rating:
Affleck directing Affleck. I had my doubts, but was pleasantly wrong in the end.
Stehako's rating:
A very interesting film that delivered well but I felt they could have done more with the concept.
Stehako's rating:
It was all good and 'Top 20' worthy until the shower fighting scene. Come on now.
Stehako's rating:
A fun animated film shot half in a documentary style with great voicing talents from Labouf, Heder and Bridges.
Stehako's rating:
Yeah, a little too much going on here. You could never really get into one story line enough to be blown away like the first two. But still entertaining enough to be at 41.
Stehako's rating:
A great cast with pretty good music and an okay storyline.
Stehako's rating:
Yet another very funny film to put on the Farrelly Brothers' resume. Not one of their funniest; but still plenty of memorable lines and moments to take home with you.
Stehako's rating:
This very unseen film is about a couple average guys unknowingly duping people into signing record deals at a cost. But what makes this really unique is they were real people and unaware of the type of filming until it was over.
Stehako's rating:
A very funny movie that was unfortunately just as stupid. The soundtrack is the best part of the package.
Stehako's rating:
Cheadle and Sandler make a great team in this depressing but inspiring look at a widow of the 9/11 attacks.
Stehako's rating:
A surprisingly arresting film about a kidnapping gone way out of hand. A great cast and an enjoyable pace.
Stehako's rating:
Superb film making but it lacked any emotional attachment for me.
Stehako's rating:
I don't like slasher movies and I rarely enjoy horror movies because they don't actually scare me. This film scared me on a few different levels, plus it had me fooled many times.
Stehako's rating:
Kal Penn should do more films like this. Come on, Kal - "Epic Movie" films or "The Namesake" films, make the right choice.
