Best Films of 2007
#100A very low budget and charming New Zealand film with Jemaine Clement, from "Flight of the Conchords"Stehako's rating:
Garland is pretty funny in this unique indie film about finding someone to love.
Stehako's rating:
About one truly funny scene in the whole movie. It only gets this position because I can't help but Like Vince Vaughn and Elizabeth Banks is in it too!
Stehako's rating:
Wow, I don't know why I watched this. It actually was a bit better than I thought; but maybe I was confused by Eva Mendez's nipple slip at the beginnning.
Stehako's rating:
What the hell happened here? I can't help but still love Carrey, as he's one of my favorites; but damn it, this was disappointing.
Stehako's rating:
Lovey Dobey; but good to watch with your lady.
Stehako's rating:
A sweet little Scottish family film that doesn't wow you at any point; but makes you care for a huge sea creature nonetheless.
Stehako's rating:
An average modern war film with underwhelming performances by a great cast.
Stehako's rating:
Least best of the three. Still has some funny lines and good action.
Stehako's rating:
Whalberg turns in his usual meager performance but Kate Mara makes up for it and the film actually delivers a few surprises and maintained my interest.
Stehako's rating:
A comical story about what most of us think when we're in modern art galleries. Because they started filming early on in the family's career, it made it interesting not knowing where they were going with the doc.
Stehako's rating:
Baumbach writing mixed with his usual directing of unusual performances.
Stehako's rating:
Decent modern war story; but too generic to really hold my interest enough to see it ever again.
Stehako's rating:
Surprisingly good. A few twists and turns and average CG animation.
Stehako's rating:
A strange film that made me feel dirty; but still good quality and Jackson does great in this music-centered role.
Stehako's rating:
A lot of interesting dialogue with two actors I really like. It just didn't seem a like a movie, though. It could have worked better as a 20 minute short.
Stehako's rating:
Malkovich has a blast with this role but I kind of lost interest half way through after seeing him pull the same stuff over and over.
Stehako's rating:
Even slower paced than first. Owen adds some interesting scenes, and of course the story is good and Cate will always be amazing.
Stehako's rating:
Nothing too wildly original in this film that found Swank stuck in a poorly written script; but still comes out looking good.
Stehako's rating:
Nick Cage finds things and then more things and throws in some smart ass humor and then finds more things until he finds what he really wants.
Stehako's rating:
Middle of the pack for Sandler and his gang. Funny cameos and it actually does a good job of NOT making fun of gays.
Stehako's rating:
Two great actors in a decent film about getting it done before you kick it.
Stehako's rating:
Beautiful performance by Cotillard; but the story didn't interest me as much as the singing.
Stehako's rating:
Terribly disappointing after the comedic success of the second one but still able to illicit some laughs.
Stehako's rating:
Pretty decent new leg to the saga
Stehako's rating:
It's refreshing to see Douglas back in a likable role and movie and Evan Rachel Wood has gotten my attention this year with this movie and "Across the Universe"
Stehako's rating:
A wild role for Costner, possibly his best non-sports role I've seen since 'Wolves'. The ending of the film was awesome if it ended when it should have. If they stuck with the scene I'm referring to then this film could have made the top 50.
Stehako's rating:
A stoic thriller with a breakout performance by Levitt
Stehako's rating:
A wild documentary that will have you scared to ever visit Sau Paulo
Stehako's rating:
How could you not love Amy Adams after this film? Some fun songs, too!
Stehako's rating:
A fun look at a crazy DJ during the Civil Rights movement of the 60s. Cheadle is awesome, as usual.
Stehako's rating:
Kal Penn should do more films like this. Come on, Kal - "Epic Movie" films or "The Namesake" films, make the right choice.
Stehako's rating:
A great cast with pretty likable music and an okay storyline.
Stehako's rating:
Another noteworthy documentary from 07. They were able to capture some awesome interviews and find some cooky real-life characters. I wanted to keep following them after the credits rolled.
Stehako's rating:
Hopkins finally comes out with a good flick and Gosling is on a roll.
Stehako's rating:
A buddy cop movie in a way only the British can pull off.

Great List! Across the Universe was my favorite and King of Kong was such a great doc!

Great job for putting 'Into the Wild' at number 1. That movie should of won Best Picture at the Oscars.
