Best Films of 2003
I only saw 101 films this year. How's that for a description?
Stehako's rating:
I did not see the appeal in this foreign flick. I tried to watch it a couple of times and could barely get through it. Kind of like "Cache"
Stehako's rating:
On par with Cameron's "Aliens in the Deep" It was basically a show on Discovery, and an average one at that.
Stehako's rating:
One word to describe the characters in this film: Annoying.
Stehako's rating:
Pretty basic action flick, that is about as memorable as Travolta's last basic action flick... yeah, I can't remember it either.
Stehako's rating:
Kate looks so damn good in leather. Maybe I was distracted; but I couldn't get into the story at all. I'm also not a fan of the whole vampire genre.
Stehako's rating:
Whaaaaaaaaaaat theeeeeeeeeee Heeeeeeeeeell Haaaaaaappened Heeeeeeeeere?
Stehako's rating:
Yes, that weird looking woman on the poster is Scarlett Johansson, and no we don't see any more skin than that. The cinematography was the only thing that saved it
Stehako's rating:
Demi Moore looks damn good in a bikini, still.
Stehako's rating:
A film no one needs to see; but one you'll hate to laugh at, because you probably will, at least once.
Stehako's rating:
I only got angry at the angries; but at least I learned some new things.
Stehako's rating:
A low-budget low-minded comedy with middling results.
Stehako's rating:
I don't know any people who have seen this movie.
Stehako's rating:
Like in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" there is an Elvis/Pharaoh connection.
Stehako's rating:
Nothing bad about this romantic film; but... nothing really that good either.
Stehako's rating:
The first time I saw this, I actually really liked it, it played with your mind and surprised me a few times. The second time, I was amazed at this poor excuse for filmmaking.
Stehako's rating:
I think it was okay. Not your typical comic book movie, and I think that's the main reason it didn't get a great reception. Ang Lee is a damn fine director, he just apparently shouldn't be making comic book movies.
Stehako's rating:
Very cool visuals; but it really is basically a bunch of birds flying. I could watch that on National Geographic Channel.
Stehako's rating:
Yeah, that's about the feeling I had after watching it. A quarter smile, at best.
Stehako's rating:
I'm not really sure what this film was trying to be. The acting was good and story was good; that's as much as I can put down without going into a series of questions. And I don't think that was the director's intent.
Stehako's rating:
Amy Smart is fun as usual and this Lebeaof guy isn't bad either; but just a weak story.
Stehako's rating:
I'm assuming Ebert would put 'Thumbs' at the beginning of this title.
Stehako's rating:
One good thing about this movie - it actually was about as mediocre as it looked. The ending song was pretty great though.
Stehako's rating:
If you love the films of the 70s as I do, you will at least like this documentary. It features a lot of the great directors in interviews, too.
Stehako's rating:
Toutou wasn't nearly as dirty or pretty as I had hoped in this.
Stehako's rating:
Nice try, Disney, nice try. You should probably just rely on Pixar and your sports movies. Enough of these, please.
Stehako's rating:
Zahn and Lawrence probably won't be doing any more films together.
Stehako's rating:
The trailer made it look surreal and possibly... special? Boy did they fool us.
Still, not a bad film though. Stehako's rating:
Dammit, Whitaker.
I think Willis needs to get Whitaker's agent, because clearly this guy can't act yet he gets gigs. Stehako's rating:
Ahhhh, refreshing... Jessica Biel. Nothing else was refreshing about this remake
Stehako's rating:
Ok, now the confidence is getting out of hand.
Stehako's rating:
Once again, a little too much confidence...
Stehako's rating:
Is she guilty or not? Not sure?
Is she crazy, absolutely! Stehako's rating:
I'm not sure where the full entertainment I was expecting went...
Stehako's rating:
Rockwell and Lohman do a good job of making Cage not look bad.
Stehako's rating:
A wild idea with okay results. Certainly a different role Schwartzmann, but he needs a little work yet.
Stehako's rating:
Just a little more interesting than the actual National Spelling Bee.
Stehako's rating:
This film was trying too hard and didn't have resounding success. However, I still watched the entire thing and enjoyed what it was about. Gooding Jr does a fine job; but the supporting cast could have been a little more supportive.
Stehako's rating:
I felt wrong watching this, Knightley is tantalizing, even as a jock.
Stehako's rating:
I usually put one or two romantic comedies on here and this one certainly deserves a spot. Kate Hudson is adorable and and Matty McC is at least tolerable. Could have used a little more Goldberg though, that guy IS gold.
Stehako's rating:
Not a whole lot happens in this film; but at least the title is more accurate.
Stehako's rating:
Two amazing beauties, Dushku and Chriqui, endure such disgusting horrific situations.
Stehako's rating:
Cool cast but a bit of a letdown in the overall film.
Stehako's rating:
Cool title, not-as-cool film. Willis needs a new agent. Monica Bellucci is gorgeous but her some of her important assets are too constrained in this film
Stehako's rating:
Hell's Kitchen never looked so good, I mean bad. I don't know, but this film of an Irish immigrant family tugs at the heart and soul with such ease. Hounsou is someone to look for, too.
Stehako's rating:
Easily the least-likable of the trilogy. It's hard to top T2. The new baddie was cool and hot in that outfit. The kids brought it down a little and some of action seemed a little cheap.
