Ryan Reynolds is comic gold in what would otherwise be another childish cheap film from National Lampoons. They seem to make 1 good movie out of every 10 attempts.
Stehako's rating:
The sequel is nearly as good as the first and has managed to get even more curious and anxious for the resolution in the third film.
Stehako's rating:
The weakest of the three. But I also have seen it only twice unlike the several viewings of the first two; so it hopefully it will be just as classic as its predecessors.
Stehako's rating:
A love it when two brilliant actors team up, especially when it's under the helm of Spielberg and the best cinematographer of our time, Janusz Kaminski. The result: Brilliance.
Stehako's rating:
This film has proven that it is a fallacy to even consider DiCaprio just a pretty face. It looks Like Diaz is trying to prove something here too, it's her next best role (Being John Malcovich is her best). Daniel Day-Lewis, wow! Why can't one of the finest actors in the business act in more films?? Hopefully this film changes things.
Stehako's rating:
Much better than 'Phantom'. A visually remarkable film with a great story line, but bad title. How about at the very least "Rise of the Clones" I don't know. I am very excited to see the last piece of the puzzle... in three years.
Stehako's rating:
A superb film with the top-of-the-line acting, directing, writing, cinematography, and art direction. A very nice change of pace for Hanks.
Stehako's rating:
Friggin' hilarious. A good time will always be had when watching with friends. Whether high, drunk, straight this film gets better with repeat viewings.
Stehako's rating:
A very fun comic book movie. I didn't go insane over it like many; but it could possibly perk my interest for more of these types of films. I look forward to the next (because they would be insane to not make one)
Stehako's rating:
Another movie I would love to see the sequel to. Damon is certainly doing a good job getting out of the same category as his buddy Affleck. His choices are much smarter, and he's clearly a better actor.
Stehako's rating:
A very entertaining and actually somewhat believable futuristic film. Cruise does great in lead and is well-supported with good overall acting and story line.
Stehako's rating:
Two solid musicals in two years! Are musicals making a comeback? I hope so, we're in need of them, especially now that Disney is not even making them anymore.
Stehako's rating:
Each version of this film (I think there are four now) gets better and better. They did an outstanding job with the best revenge story of all time.
Stehako's rating:
Jack Black is money in every role he plays and it doesn't even look like he's trying. Colin Hanks is pretty damn good in this, too. It would be cool to see him follow in his old man's footsteps, he certainly has himself a good start.
Stehako's rating:
Hugh Grant is so damn charming, even when he's an ass, I don't get it. This could be is best role since 'Sense and Sensibility' and I love Rachel Weisz.
Stehako's rating:
Thank God this was good. Eminem is officially a natural entertainer. I'd like to see him do some more acting - then we'll know if he's just good at playing himself.
Stehako's rating:
The two Rom Com leaders naturally have to team up sometime, and here we are with good enough results. They certainly didn't go outside their limits and I'm fine with that.
Stehako's rating:
Not as good as the first and that little thing on the poster, his annoying voice overshadowed the superb visual effects.
Stehako's rating:
Polanski is a son of a bitch. A damn good film-making son-of-a-bitch. Brody does a fine job in this not-surprisingly slow epic.
I'd say about as good as the first. A few more laughs with a story line that could have used a little more work. Good enough to be 20th though.
Stehako's rating:
Diane Lane, I will marry you right now. I can't get any of the images from this out of my mind.
Stehako's rating:
Disney sports movie. This one is about baseball. That's all you need to know.
Stehako's rating:
A pretty cool stylistic film with entertaining vignette-type scenes and some unique characters doing unpredictable things. Maybe Van Der Beek can have himself a career, he wasn't half bad here.
Stehako's rating:
In many years, I can't imagine this film being so high; but it was a weak year and here we are with a decent film at a very good spot.
Stehako's rating:
i just got tired of war films. This was did what it was supposed to do and it had some good scenes; but I really just wanted it to end faster.
Stehako's rating:
A slow-moving and achingly depressing movie that makes you uncomfortable and antsy to move on to something else. The acting and style were all good.
Stehako's rating:
Actually a pretty funny movie with good intentions. Jason Schwartzmann is really good at being annoying.
Stehako's rating:
A really well-done documentary but way too lopsided and a bit annoying by the end.
Stehako's rating:
Kevin Klein is great and he's clearly trying to be in a "Dead Poets Society II" which lessens the seriousness of what could have been a great film. Emile Hirsch and Jesse McEntire are pretty decent young actors.
Stehako's rating:
A Pixar wannabee that is rarely funny. In fact the only thing that mad me laugh out loud was Scrat appearing randomly and for a split second during a falling scene.
Stehako's rating:
An okay murder mystery with pretty good performances by Gosling and Bullock.
Stehako's rating:
A cool but streched idea for a horror flick. The fact that a horror flick is on my list gives it pretty damn good marks.
Stehako's rating:
Sexy sexy; but then a little too sexy in the end. I could have done without the threesome.
Stehako's rating:
i kept on waiting for this film to get really good. I thought it was when we were going to finally see Phil S. Hoffman do his thing; but that was anticlimactic and didn't spice up this dull but very visually pleasing film.
Stehako's rating:
The best role I've seen Hayek in. She was very entertaining playing an artist who's work I admire.
Stehako's rating:
About as good as I had hoped. Fun characters and a nice story. I thought there would be more rain though.
Stehako's rating:
Straight to the point title. That's what he was and he was damn good at it. A very intriguing documentary.
This Culkin is talented and I'd like to see more of him. A quirky movie all the way through.
I only counted 11. Oh yeah, I fell asleep.
Cage trying to go indie. It works, but I would have preferred many other actors in that role.
The perfect movie for Vin Diesel, and actually watchable. It's James Bond for the lower class.
Stehako's rating:
Frustrating but kept my interest all the way through. It reminded me of a more tame 'Falling Down'
Stehako's rating:
Williams does a good job at being creepy and dark. I think that's what he's going for these days (there are two more films that prove this farther down the list)
Stehako's rating:
Two funny actors with a less-than-hilarious script. A lot of potential but with only a few solid moments to take home with you.
Stehako's rating:
It's good to see this neurotic genius behind the scenes. He still gets nervous about going on stage after all he's done. I liked the smaller acts; but felt they spent too much time on some.
Stehako's rating:
Aniston is such a likable and beautiful actress, she can't go wrong. This one needed a little work overall, though.
I was fine with 24 hours; but Norton does a good job in this trying-to-be-something-but-not-understanding-how-to-achieve-it film.
