I didn't know much about this film going in, and my friend pretty much forced me to watch it. I thought it was downright entertaining. Two hours in I was questioning how it could possibly end, and then it said "to be continued..." I was so damn pissed. I had know idea it was all one story divided into three! I enjoyed the second and third viewing a lot more.
Stehako's rating:
I can not believe how this stupid movie is so damn funny. It is amazing. The best celebrity cameos ever seen in film.
Stehako's rating:
Unlike the original, all eleven of these characters are interesting and share respectable screen time. The chemistry between Clooney and Pitt is unmatched, with the help of a very good script.
Stehako's rating:
Pixar has gained my full respect after this golden nugget of a family animated film. As good as its predecessors and could be even better in time.
Stehako's rating:
A briliant epic that for some reason hasn't gotten the astounding reception it deserves. One of the best future-based films I've seen.
Stehako's rating:
Another epic that is superbly written, filmed and acted. Depp is hopefully back to making good films, after quite a few "okay" movies.
Stehako's rating:
A brutal gem from Ridley Scott, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite active directors.
Stehako's rating:
Yet another Farrelly Brothers hit, Black and Paltrow are very funny in this film that is played in normal Farrelly Brothers fashion - gross-out moments mixed with a good-hearted message.
Stehako's rating:
A well-done CGI film with plenty of funny moments but isn't as 'amazing' as what people are saying it is. It's good competition for Pixar.
Stehako's rating:
A surprisingly original idea that works in every way, especially backwards.
Stehako's rating:
I want to marry Kate Beckinsale right now. She has potential to be the most beautiful actress in Hollywood. Cusack is his usual likable self and Piven provides the best lines and funniest moments.
Stehako's rating:
The funniest Kevin Smith movie to date. This is right up there with Zoolander with so many great celebrity cameos. I enjoyed the references to past Smith movies as well.
Stehako's rating:
Stellar performance by Crowe; but a little weak on everyone else's part. Ron Howard proves once again he's one of the best film makers out there right now.
Stehako's rating:
Much better than the first, filled with a lot funnier scenes and even better action. Piven's cameo is quick but hilarious and the karaoke scene is legendary.
Stehako's rating:
This is another reason why Beckinsale is becoming one of my favorites. She is a true beauty who is believable enough to enjoy watching, at least she looks good compared to Hartnett or Affleck. The rest of supporting cast was good and the SFX were amazing. I didn't think it was too long.
Stehako's rating:
Black and Zahn are a great team in this low-budget low-brow comedy. And I never realized how amazing Neil Diamond was. Thank you!
Stehako's rating:
Toutou has an addicting presence on screen; one that I hope to watch many times again in the upcoming years.
Stehako's rating:
Lynch is brilliantly weird. The lesbian scene is hot. The Spanish 'Crying' performance is remarkable.
Stehako's rating:
A Tennis Match, matching jumpsuits, and a semi-incestual relationship are some of the highlights to this typical Wes Anderson (a good thing) story about an intelligent/dysfunctional family.
Stehako's rating:
A strange but very fun musical with some great musically homages to old and modern classics.
Stehako's rating:
Not nearly as funny as the first. I felt it was a little forced and the story lines were blah. But still the characters are fun and I laughed enough to put it at #20.
Stehako's rating:
Ledger pulls out a solid performance in a film that could have easily sucked. I love the subtle and not-so-subtle modern moments mixed into the film.
Stehako's rating:
I only saw this once but I am pretty certain this will move up with a second viewing. The animation is groundbreaking and the subject matter is surprisingly at the same level.
Stehako's rating:
A strange but fascinating noir film. It's got "cult classic" written all over it.
Stehako's rating:
A movie that had me questioning what the hell I was watching all the way through. The ending was fantastic.
Stehako's rating:
Smith did a pretty good job with the portrayal of an unlikable guy who somehow is liked by people now, I don't get it. I think I had too many expectations with this film, so I was a little disappointed, but still well done.
Stehako's rating:
Witherspoon is God-damned delightful in this pink-filled movie that somehow is entertaining beyond her hot outfits.
Stehako's rating:
I broke down and watched it. I enjoyed it; certainly not a fanatic; but I can see myself enjoying it more if (probably when) they decide to make the whole series.
Stehako's rating:
Nearly as good as 'Swingers' but somehow missed by audiences. The dialogue is awesome and I could watch several movies in a row with Vince Vaughn just jabbering away about nonsense. He's awesome.
Stehako's rating:
I like strange movies that have me questioning what the f*ck just happened. This is one of those.
Stehako's rating:
A really well-done spy film with fine acting and story line.
Stehako's rating:
I love Jim Carrey. This was sort of a dull movie that Carrey made come alive as best he could with such a, as I said, dull movie. He proves he's one of the best in the ending court scenes.
Stehako's rating:
Penn is very believable as a caring and mentally disabled father. It gets you emotionally wrapped. But what makes the film is the soundtrack.
Stehako's rating:
Well executed, well acted with a great ensemble cast and will most likely be even better upon second viewing.
Some very memorable scenes in this film that sets out to entertain, and it gets the job done.
Stehako's rating:
There aren't very many great trio films where all three parts are equally as good. This is one of the rare instances.
Stehako's rating:
People compare it to 'The Sixth Sense', which is fine as long as they also say it's better than 'Sense' because it is... much better.
Stehako's rating:
Brando is still acting? Oh, I see why I didn't realize this. Every actor was mediocre in this film. The story was okay and I still cared enough to see the end result.
Stehako's rating:
Winslett and Dench, two British high-art actors; of course this will be good. Eh, they've done better.
Stehako's rating:
Why did they make a third one. Did they really think adding Pteradactyles (sp?) would bring people back after a disappointing second film. They did one thing right, no Julianne Moore.
Stehako's rating:
Sir Kingsley is a bad ass. I thought there would be a lot more sex in it, though. I watched it all the way through, but my friends left after 20 minutes.
The shipping news isn't great news; but I thought the dialogue was noteworthy and was well-constructed.
Pretty funny; but got old by the end. Kid Rock should not be in movies.
Stehako's rating:
It's a gun? Thank God, I thought Brad Pitt was gong to play a Mexican.
Here's one actor who should not play a Mexican, or anyone for that matter. A pretty good movie with a pretty piss-poor actor (Mark Wahlberg) He, like Julianne Moore, ruins potentially great movies. Wait, they were both in 'Boogie Night', how the hell did they not ruin that brilliant movie for me? Probably because it was one of the first film I had seen either one of them in.
