1. Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Hard to believe the best WWI film came decades after the bulk of them were made. Spielberg and Hanks is an unstoppable combination.

Stehako's rating:

People who added this item 2086  Average listal rating (1517 ratings) 7.4  IMDB Rating
9. The Truman Show (1998)
Carrey's turn in a somewhat serious role is a mighty good treat. The idea is crazy but actually a frightening possibility.

People who added this item 1094  Average listal rating (702 ratings) 5.8  IMDB Rating 6.2
12. You've Got Mail (1998)
Ryan and Hanks are great together in this film that will inevitably be compared to "Sleepless in Seattle" but in time, might be better.
Stehako's rating:

People who added this item 914  Average listal rating (586 ratings) 6.6  IMDB Rating 7.4

Williams in another film full of mugging for the camera, I don't mind at all. I would have ranked it a lot higher if it had a better ending.

17. Enemy of the State (1998)
Somewhat sloppy in delivery and one of the most unbelievable uses of technology, this movie is still entertaining all the way through and proves Smith deserves to be in more movies.

Stehako's rating:

People who added this item 541  Average listal rating (368 ratings) 6.2  IMDB Rating 6.4
30. Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Not really sure why they felt the need to make a fourth. The 90's spin acts like just another action comedy; but not enough comedy (even with Chris Rock)
Stehako's rating:

People who added this item 1380  Average listal rating (959 ratings) 8.1  IMDB Rating 8.6
31. American History X (1998)

People who added this item 65  Average listal rating (35 ratings) 5.7  IMDB Rating 6.8
43. Bulworth (1998)
Warren Beatty's fourth "comeback" shows why he's so selective with his roles.

People who added this item 157  Average listal rating (83 ratings) 7.5  IMDB Rating 7.3
44. Buffalo '66 (1998)
A cool stylistic film set in the greatest decade ever.

People who added this item 527  Average listal rating (356 ratings) 7  IMDB Rating 7.2

A surprisingly dark and smart film for Stiller and the others.
