The most amazing film event of my childhood and it still wows to this day. It's too bad that had to spoil the fun with two more films.
Stehako's rating:
My favorite sports film of all time. The friendships, the summer vignettes, the music, and of course the baseball were all marvelous.
Stehako's rating:
The greatest "What if..." movie of all time. Murray is at his best in this well-written and directed comedy.
Stehako's rating:
Among my favorite sports films, this is a truly inspiring story for anyone.
Stehako's rating:
Not as great but nearly just as funny as the first. I wish they made a third.
Stehako's rating:
Wow, Spielberg had his best year with this and 'Park' really showing his versatility brilliantly.
Stehako's rating:
Ford really climbed out of his Indy shell for this film that was better than the TV show and one of Tommy Lee Jones' best roles.
Stehako's rating:
A damn good year for sports films! Candy's last role and basically the only memorable role for anyone else. "Feel the rhythm, feel the ride..."
Stehako's rating:
A brilliant and under-appreciated film and role for Pacino. It has all the bad-assness of 'Scarface' and has the quality of story found in 'Serpico'.
Stehako's rating:
Great night of teenage boredom filled with damn good music and a fun young cast.
Stehako's rating:
A horrible day of western angst filled with damn good acting and a well-oiled cast.
Stehako's rating:
The second of three movies featuring my favorite actor and actress (at the time).
Stehako's rating:
Very strong performances from two very strong actors who have proven to this day they belong among the best.
Stehako's rating:
A liked the porn film "The Firmest" a little more; but Cruise hands in a durable performance in the worthy adaptation.
Stehako's rating:
Not a movie I'd go see if it came out today; but I probably watched it 12, 13 times the year it came out on video. It was such a cool movie and it strengthened my love for the northwest and Madsen even more.
Stehako's rating:
One of Williams' funniest performance, the "Tootsie" of the 90s was a fun spectacle although hokey throughout.
Stehako's rating:
A film that deserves more credit than it gets. People came out in masses to see three live animals in the wilderness for 90 minutes and we were entertained throughout.
Stehako's rating:
They never give you an answer but I got a pretty good idea; and I think DiCaprio, Lewis, and Reilly had something to do with it.
Stehako's rating:
Such a facinating true story that actually made me rethink I how I live my life (this has nothing to do with cannibalism, haha)
Stehako's rating:
Frustration taken to the extreme. With such an angry protagonist/antagonist, I still can't believe how fun of a film this is.
Stehako's rating:
Great supporting cast in this non-traditional love story with Slater's best performance.
Stehako's rating:
Downey's performance never got enough credit in this film where he really shows off his acting chops with comedic and dramatic results.
Stehako's rating:
A very serious and sad movie, not one I usually enjoy; but Michael Keaton really made me care about his character and his future son's life.
Stehako's rating:
A very non-serious and light movie; one I usually enjoy. "Linkin', fix your boob"
Stehako's rating:
I wouldn't think we'd need another movie about the flippin' Musketeers; but they rolled a fun/funny adventure that can actually be seen multiple times (nice cleavage too)
Stehako's rating:
A title that still has me asking how to phrase it. Is he saying it like, "So what's the big deal? I married an axe murderer, so what?
or - "Hey how's going?" - "Oh good, still playing softball... oh yeah and the other day I married an axe murderer." or is it when he's just realizing what he did "So... I married an axe murderer, hey... damn." Whatever it is, it was damn funny and a good story with great music. Stehako's rating:
People have been trying to relive this scenario for years, it never works.
Stehako's rating:
Heartwrenching relationships between siblings and best friends and what they have to go through during Nazi control.
Stehako's rating:
The swimming scenes are amazing; but probably my least favorite in the trilogy.
Stehako's rating:
I haven't seen the 3D version yet; but the original was a delightfully dark and inventive for its time.
Stehako's rating:
Some great action scenes with the usual bad acting from Stallone and surprising turn to the dark side for Lithgow - he pulls it off.
Stehako's rating:
Another surprising bad guy - Bill Murray is great and DeNiro is good and Uma is it sexy.
Stehako's rating:
Frodo plays a hell of a Huck in this great family-friendly adaption.
Stehako's rating:
Gibson's first turn at directing was pretty good entertainment. It was a little slow paced, and Gibson actually did have a face... just a little burned off.
Stehako's rating:
Desperado's precursor is fun and original but not quite as bad-ass as its follow-up.
Stehako's rating:
A different take on the mob turned out well, plus I like to roll dice now.
Stehako's rating:
It's always been one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and this adaptation was good enough.
Stehako's rating:
Malco and Wood pull in fine performances in this iconic 90s action flick.
Stehako's rating:
DD Lewis is the man and he always will be. That proof is never more obvious in this flick... or at least until "Nine" comes out in December.
Stehako's rating:
No actual wrestling, just damn fine writing.
Stehako's rating:
Nolte and Surandon are actors I usually can't stand but they're at least tolerable in this well-crafted film.
Stehako's rating:
Klein should be president because he can roll around in the grass with his dogs.
Stehako's rating:
Well-directed and acted, slightly boring (Although I saw it as a kid who mostly likely had an undiagnosed case of ADD)
Stehako's rating:
These guys are great, I wish they were grandfathers)
Stehako's rating:
It's not the prequel to "The Pianist" and Anna Paquin does get naked and there are no vampires.
Stehako's rating:
Okay, I know - but it was a fun movie as a kid and I've always loved baseball.
