He really caught my attention with his great stand out performance in X-Men: First Class. That was really his film. And when he followed that up with A Dangerous Method and Shame i knew this is a guy that is gonna be huge (no pun intended).
He can do anything from hilarious comedy in Malcolm In The Middle to very dark drama in Breaking Bad. Not a lot of actors can pull that off as great as Bryan has.
I don't know why, but people always seem so surprised when i tell them Michael Caine is one of my favorite actors. I think it's because i'm such an action movie fan that they would never think i could also be a fan of a stuffy old British actor like this as well.
15 - Actor/Actress that I used to love but now hate
Growing up as an action movie fan, this guy was a hero to me. But as time went on i realized he was just making the same movie over and over again, just fatter. How can anyone take a 300 lbs guy seriously as an action hero? He also always sounds like an asshole when i see interviews with him or his former cast and crew members talking about him.
16 - Actor/Actress that has disappointed me the most
He is one of my all time favorite actors. He is just fantastic. So why is he only doing shitty films and phoning it in lately? He has not been in a single good film or given a good performance since Men of Honor in 2000. Please do another movie with Scorsese or someone great like that again and no more Focker movies.
Unlike Steven Seagal, Van Damme really evolved as an actor since the 90's. The first time he really showed me that he actually could act well was in the very underrated 2003 movie In Hell. Most people finally got to see his hidden talent in the 2008 movie JCVD where he played a very down on his luck and self deprecating version of himself.
He is so fantastic on Dexter and Six Feet Under it amazes me that his only two big films has been the awful Paycheck and even worse Gamer. He has done a few indie films as well, but they didn't seem like anything special either. Maybe when Dexter is over he can really start getting in some good films.
Ever since she ruined Knocked Up, she has done nothing but shit after shit. And even for shitty films like Killers and The Ugly Truth she is doing a shitty job.
I never got the appeal of her. She was never a very good actress or especially hot. Especially these days. She looks like a skeleton now. Eat a sandwich.
If you have only seen him in Shaun of the Dead, you really need to watch Black Books. One of the funniest shows ever made. He is also a brilliant stand-up comedian.
25 - Actor/Actress I love, but everyone else seems to hate
I don't know why people hate him so much. The only reason most people can think of when i ask them is that he is in to scientology and jumped on a couch once. He has almost never given a bad performance and does most of his own stunts. That is more than you can say for most actors. You would never see Brad Pitt running around the top of the tallest building in the world to make an film as cool as possible.
He is a very funny and quick witted guy. He is also a great story teller as proven by all his Q&A shows and millions of podcasts. I think it would be very fun to have a joint and some beers with this guy.
Just when you thought there is no one dumber than Paris Hilton out there, this bitch comes along. I can't wait until the public gets bored of her and her retarded family, and she's forgotten forever.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Chinatown, The Shining, Five Easy Pieces, The Departed, Batman, A Few Good Men, The Last Detail... Do i need to go on? The man is a living legend.
