Neither Dwayne Johnson or Vin Diesel are good picks for the role of Shadow. Chris Hemsworth could be a far better choice. He's played one of Odin's other sons, plus proved that he can act in other roles. Neil Gaiman's novel is dark and gritty. Shadow is a character with a mop of hair on his head as well as facial hair, and his character has depth. Even though I like Diesel, if he or Johnson were cast as Shadow, I will not watch it. I have been a Gaiman fan for years and will not care to see the project so poorly cast.
