JUST SAY FUCK IT FILMMAKING that makes you glad to know they still make raw, ballsy, daring films like this now days. Rough around the edges but with moments of sheer cinematic genius. MUST SEE PLUS A MILLION.

Weirdo Eurotrash horror that reeks of discomfort and filth featuring Vincent Cassel in a performance to never be forgotten and THE MOST FUCKING INSANE FINAL 30 MINUTES YOU'LL SEE THIS YEAR OR POSSIBLY THE NEXT THREE.

A low budget horror flick that slowly works its way under your skin and becomes deeply entrenched in your mind and somehow, your friggin' heart. One of the most unappreciated b-movie horror films I've ever seen. It gets to ya.

Flips the hillbillies terrorizing college kids in the woods genre movie on its goofy ass head. Long time pals Tucker and Dale just want a nice weekend of fishing and beers but these damn college kids are the ones trying to make them squeal like a pig! Top notch comedic acting, gore oh plenty, and just fun as shit.

Think if the guys from Fire in the Sky wanted revenge on the aliens that abducted their friend. Told with a serious tone rather than a comical one and yet it still really really works. Solid all around with some bitchin' moments and scenes.

I love the imdb plot summary on this one cause you'll immediately know whether you wanna see the movie or not,

"Woman librarian devotes life to caring for wheelchair-bound tyrannical father after being stood up at altar. She fantasizes his death and finds joy only with her pet monkey. Monkey disappears and a shocking past is revealed." It's one of those campy 80s wtf oddities ya gotta see.

Fantastic romance flick with an all time cinema history sex scene. Tons of unique, sweet moments, wonderful chemistry between Spader and Surandon but sadly the movie comes complete with a piece of shit tacked on studio/test audience ending that doesn't fit with the rest of the film at all. Real shame cause with the right ending it could've been a mini-classic. Highly recommended though.

Been on bit of a horror kick lately so this list is a bit heavy on the scary, terror filled flicks.
*
*
*

Not every flick here is a top to bottom masterpiece (well some are dammit) but I will guarantee you that every flick is filled with an OH SHIT moment or two or strives for something big n' bold n' ballsy or will be branded into your brain until the very day you die. Or just all 3. Enjoy ya rat basta'ds!

Also, some are just amazing some are just underrated some are just obscure and some are just bizarre but most of the time there's a little mix n matching crossover going on but don't expect each flick to meet all four criteria. All I know is all these flicks just need more love.

This could very possibly be one of the best list(series) that have ever been posted on the net, especially when one is into obscure strange bizarre movies that are recommended by a "film critic" that actually likes different movies. This list will be revisited many times.

"FOR THE FUCK OF IT!"
What was so bad about "Nature of the Beast"? -Seriously, thanx 110% for giving a shout out to this little remembered cerebral horror flick! Eric Roberts doesn't get NEARLY enough credit as a methodical plot building actor. But Lance Henriksen STEALS THIS SHOW!!! Finally something else besides "Millennium" he can really 'sink his TEETH INTO!'

If I had to take a stab at it I'd say the minimal success has something to do with Nathan Winters and director Victor Salva? --I'm not touching that one with a 40 ft. pole! -Salva doesn't always strike GOLD but people should really check this one out as it's one of his RARE treasures. --Don't try to guess the ending in the beginning, just let it happen and you might just enjoy yourself in that final scene!-

You sir, are a genious for making these lists. Now I must excuse myself, I have to go watch every film on this list.

I really admire your lists. I've been trying to do one like them but I don't see as many movies as you. IMO being that you like cult item/weirdo movies you should watch "Buddy Boy" by Mark Hanlon, it is a really fascinating movie a about a stuttering social outcast and surprisingly relate able if you have severe anxiety/issues like me. The main character is played by Aidan Gillen AKA 'Littlefinger' from "Game of Thrones" and this is one of his earlier and best performances. I have written to the director and he is very nice. btw, thanks for adding "The Living and the Dead" and "Red, White, & Blue" by Simon Rumley, I'm a fan of him.

Arizona Dream (1992) - the last good Kusturica's movie.
White Palace (1990) - Spader & Sarandon are great together (they even look alike :))

Good list, but I don't really think Drive is underrated. If a movie gets more than 500 ratings on Listal, I'd say it's pretty damn famous.
