LOL, I confess that I like the soundtrack to Romeo + Juliet tho I have never seen the film. Some day...

Also the "Twilight" soundtrack but... I will deny that.

"Go" would be a good addition this list

The soundtracks for The Craft, Tank Girl, Airheads, The Cable Guy, Mallrats, Clerks, and Escape from L.A. are all alt-rock bands.

I second jaytoast's suggestions of Go and Hackers.
