  Stotlz had got the part due to Fox not being available. Production had commenced (with a few scenes being shot) but it was eventually decided that he wasn't right for the part and he conflicted with the cast and crew regularly. Kryptic Centurion's rating:

  Remar was cast as Dwayne Hicks but due to artistic differences between him and Cameron, he left the project. He is still in the final cut but its unlikely you will notice! Kryptic Centurion's rating:

  VD was set to face off against Dutch's team as a more agile ninja-like alien but due to his constant complaints about the conditions and his lack of face time, he was booted off the project. Kryptic Centurion's rating:

  Initially, DiCaprio was said to be interested in playing the role and a media frenzy piped up. It was later regarded as an exaggeration and Christian Bale took over. Kryptic Centurion's rating:

Easy to decipher, this is a list of actors who were offered (primarily) or cast as the adjacent character but ultimately turned it down or left the project or else. And I don't know whether to be sad or happy that Ryan Phillipe didn't get Anakin... Quite possibly saved his career...

how about jodie foster in panic room, she replaced nicole kidman. I think she got ill or broke a leg, not sure. She shot only few scenes before she left the movie

Johnny Depp:
- was to play the lead (I think he was cast, initially) in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, but then he didn't, not sure why (scheduling conflicts I believe), can't remember.
- turned down the lead in Speed
- turned down the lead in Legends of the Fall [I believe he turned down seeveral roles that went to Brad Pitt]
- turned down the role of Lestat in Interview with the Vampire
- was the first choice to play Neo in The Matrix
- was Coppola's choice to play Jonathan Harker in Dracula (don't know if he turned it down or what)
And ok that's enough Depp.
Heath Ledger was reportedly attached to Australia, but dropped out to play The Joker.
